I was considering the purchase of this cable, but I specifically needed a CMR rated cable (a.k.a. riser rated cable).

The specifications of this Cat7 cable seemed to suggest that this might be CMR rated, as the value shown for "Ratings and Certifications" in the "Full Specs" tab is:

ANSI®, TIA, EIA-568-B, UL® 444, CSA® C22.6 CEC, ETL VERIFIED, UL 444 CM, UL LISTED/cUL: E329415, CMR, ROHS 2

As you can see here, both CM and CMR are listed. It seems rather weird, possibly even misleading.

So, before ordering anything, I reached out to the Sales folks at Monoprice, and they got back to me with this information.

"The Cat7 bulk cables is CM rated. Please recommend using these
PIDs for riser rated."

The riser rated cables they referred to were:
• Monoprice Entegrade Series Cat6A Plus (product ID 40515);
• Monoprice Cat6A Ethernet Bulk Cable (product ID 18600);
• Monoprice Entegrade Cat8.2 (product ID 41483).

So I'm relaying this information here, for other prospective buyers who are looking for a Cat7 CMR (riser) rated cable. This specific product is not what you're looking for.

My 3 star rating is not meant as a judgement on the quality of the cable, but rather, as a reflection of the lack of clarity of the specifications. I actually wished I could add this review without picking a star rating, so as to be as neutral as possible.

Not rated for plenum, but I can't recommend plenum cable routing anyway. I recommend this particular cable for even CAT5 or 6, yes expensive but the metal braided jacket around all of the signal wires is very tough and even weather resistant. I wouldn't say any CAT cable is direct bury, but this can be run under eves and other areas outside buildings (off the ground) and will hold up well.
