this hdmi cable do 3D ??
Wayan S
on Jun 17, 2020
BEST ANSWER: It's HDMI 2.1 so it would be able to handle everything from previous specs, including 2.0"s 3D. If that's your main goal though you can get a much cheaper cable for the job, look for a certified HDMI 2.0 cable. This is more for future-proofing an installation as there are no 2.1 sources yet.

Does this cable work with VRR/QFT/QMS/ALLM/eARC? Can it use all of these features at the same time?

BEST ANSWER: I highly recommend this cable for up to 8K viewing. I ordered the 20' version, and I'm using it to run all my video and audio from my AVR to the display. Works wonderfully for my set-up. Although I'm not a gamer and only use my OLED display for 4K movies, photos, and shows. It's specs say it will handle all of these issues. It also depends on your other equipment (display, AVR, pre/pro, game console) and it's connectivity capabilities and how you actually implement them.

I am only using it as an HDMI 2.0 cable atm so I can't comment on those features but I do have full HDMI 2.0 data rate.

Will this cable push 1080p from a gaming laptop to a monitor 100'-110' away without latency or am I better off using HDMI to cat 6? What's the best for reducing latency if cost is not an issue?
New User U
on Nov 21, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
Both methods would likely be equally effective.
You should not experience latency either way.

I have an old HDMI cable in a 50 ft flex conduit run that was installed when we built the house 11 years ago that is giving me trouble. Have a 4K tv now and problems at the connectors are telling me to replace it. I'll pay the price and update to the 8K line but don't quite understand the warnings about "in wall". Is this a code thing....or since I can fishtape it myself, is this really a problem? I had already fishtaped audio cables through the conduit as the old HDMI wouldn't carry sound. I might just pull the new one through with that old audio cable since I won't need it anymore. Please comment? And, thanks in advance. :)

I understand the "Monoprice SlimRun AV Dynamic HDR Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable - 8K@120Hz, Dynamic HDR, 48Gbps, Fiber Optic, eARC, AOC, YCbCr 4:4:4" is HDMI 2.1 compatible. Is it also HDCP 2.3 compatible?
THOR P
on Aug 3, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes, HDCP applies to devices, not cables. To get HDCP 2.3 you need a 2.1 HDMI cable which this cable has + HDCP 2.3/HDMI 2.1 inputs on your devices ie TV, receiver, source.

Does this cable work with VRR/QFT/QMS/ALLM/eARC? Can it use all of these features at the same time?
A shopper
on Feb 24, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Ummm no. eARC is reverse audio to the receiver from the TV. In general no cable will support eARC and other "video" features simultaneously. I don't even think ALLM is a function of the cable. This is all jaded HDMI 2.1 compliant non-sense. Realistically if your TV can support VRR for example and the device you're connecting to it can also, this cable will work. This cable is capable of 48Gbps, which is only needed for 4k HDR (4:4:4) 120HZ. Anything lower and you can get away with a 2.0 cable 18Gbps in theory and still have those features.

I have a 50 ft and 75 ft version of this cable, but only the 50 ft will output correctly. Is this a limitation of my source device? I've tried it with an Apple TV 4K and a Macbook Pro.

Doesn't work with older 1080p displays
I purchased the 100ft cable and it does NOT work AT ALL with older HDMI 1080p displays (ASUS is what I have).
I do have a newer SDR (not even HDR) 4k tv and it works just fine on that.
Have NO idea why it wouldn't work on older displays?

Great so far
This was the only verified 50ft 2.1 HDMI we could find, and it seems to be high quality and has worked as we hoped so far, with no issues. High price aside, I think it was worth it.
