When I plug this into my 4K Blu Ray, I get a black screen?

BEST ANSWER: You don't give a lot of info. The cable can only work one way. Is your input correct on all devices? What is the length of the cable? Is the cable coiled up, any kinks or bends? All this can affect your picture or lack there of.

The cable is directional, so double check that the end labeled “source” is plugged in to the Blu Ray player and the end labeled “display” is plugged into the TV/projector.

These are a one directional cable so make sure you have it oriented the correct way. The source and TV terminations are labelled.

This is not like a normal HDMI. It runs in one direction. Make sure you have the input and output at the correct ends.

Double check your direction. Be sure source is on the bluray player and display is on your TV/monitor side.

I plan to connect this cable from my Nvidia 30 series graphics card to an Oled LG TV (65GX), the goal being to play in 4k 120hz, with Gsync in HDR
The TV is Gsync and VRR compatible, do you know if this cable is compatible?
I mean, you don't specify if it's an HDMI 2.1 cable but everything is fine, does it allow you to use all the features of HDMI 2.1?
My problem is the fact that the cable is unidirectional, there is a source and display side, however you certify it as eARC, which implies that the cable can communicate in both directions,
In reality I am trying to understand how these optical HDMI cables work, that they plug on one side OK, but can they transmit data in either direction?
I would be delighted if you can help me, I would really like to purchase it if it allows me to use all the features of HDMI 2.1.
Thank you in advance,

BEST ANSWER: I use the cable from a Nvidia 3080 FE to an LGY OLED CX65 at 120hz and in 4K, so you should be fine in your instance as well. I’m not familiar with all the HDMI 2.1 features you’re referring to, but it’ll definitely meet your gaming use case.

I use this cable to transfer data/signal from my Denon AVR-X1500H reciever to my Sony VPL-295ES 4K projector. I'm pretty sure it's only unidirectional since the ends are labelled source and reciever . Hope this helps!

For eARC purposes it is bidirectional. However data from your receiver will only transmit 1 direction by design.

i know they have to say its not rated but if your super careful don't even knick it and have it in the wall only at the ends for a couple feet... come on cant be that big of problem. Couldn't find another 8k on here with everything for around 25/30ft?

So noticed was saud that these are not rated for in wall runs. But im getting 25/30 ft. Who woukd run that all outside of a wall. Ive looked up that if its in a very small area shouldn't matter much. Its it going down wall a couple feet then coming out of wall and then rest up in attic then back down another wall a few feet away only a couple feet as well and comes out to reliever. I'm hoping this works as I thought i was buying the most top of the line cable here??? Also this will work for LG oled TV correct? And if this cable won't work then I need to change my order asap and get one that is 8k 25/30ft and with all thr bells and whistles ,her, eARC and so forth.

BEST ANSWER: They work great on my 4k Sony Projector. They are not rugged at all, but may be fine in a wall if carefully placed. I ran mine on the outside hiding them with a type of D-Line wall covers, and painted to match the wall.

What are the dimensions of this cable. And the Bend radius?

BEST ANSWER: Don’t know the exact dimensions, but it is very slim, almost like an iPhone cable. I have it running through a track along the baseboards and it is very flexible and easily makes 90 degree turns

Monoprice 8K SlimRun AV Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 30ft - AOC 48Gbps Black

Monoprice 8K Ultra High Speed HDMI Cable 6ft - 48Gbps Black
Has anyone tested these, particularly the 20ft and above versions with the new RTX 3080/3090 GPU's and LG CX TV's? I'm interested but want to know that if I invest such a pretty penny in a cable that it will be capable of carrying my 4k / 120hz / HDR / G-Sync content from my GPU to the TV.

Anyone know of an HDMI switch that works with this cable as the output? The switch provided by my AV installer (Binary brand) specifically says it doesn't support active/fiber optic cables. I haven't found any HDMI switch (here or elsewhere) that says it supports AOC.

Good for neatly managed long runs
Worked great for getting 4k 120hz on my LG CX from my PC for games in another room. I'd tried with a thicker cable, but it was really hard to manage. This cable is flexible enough to run in some stick on cable channels I attached to the wall. Its the most I've ever paid for an HDMI cable, but it was just what I needed.

Volume Issues with LG G2 OLED
Bought this cable to run across my room from my onkyo tx-nr6100 to my LG G2 OLED. ARC and everything works fine but when I change the volume on my system it mutes the audio for a couple of seconds. Updated firmware and system updates on both the receiver and TV. Still had problems. Tested with another 15' cable and had no issues.

Good Directional cable
It's a good cable, but beware, it is a one directional cable. There is a Source end and a Display end. I did not realize this. It does not say anywhere in the description. It shows it in a couple pictures, but not very noticeable.

So far its working just fine at 30 feet.
I have my pc in a different room from LG OLED tv and this allows me to game on the couch at 4k 120hz gsync with 3080 rtx. So far so good. There are a few issues getting sound to work on the surround system, but i have always had to mess with that each time to assure it works properly. To be honest, not super happy with the price (180 dollars) but i can sell one gaming computer this way. Also i am using display fusion to easily switch between monitor configurations with keyboard shortcuts.

Works with RTX 3090 / LG CX
I'm impressed with the slimness and flexibility of the cable. I have the 30ft version and played a couple hours on an LG CX and had no flickering or other issues. My TV immediately set to 4k/120hz. Embarassed I spent this much on a cable but really glad its working.

Not for use with HDMI 2.1 PCs
Wasnt compatible with HDMI 2.1. It introduced artifacts when trying to use it with eARC in 4K games and PC use. I cannot use this cable in my computer setup. Changed to a shorter, passive 12 cable and all is good.
