Backing up the June 2020 review that this cable will carry audio, at least it does on my M1 MacBook Pro. I bought the 100-ft cable, connected a 2nd monitor across the house, both worked, though the MBP only delivers audio to 1 monitor at a time. Depending on which room I'm working, I just need to adjust that Audio option in System Preferences.
Backing up the June 2020 review that this cable will carry audio, at least it does on my M1 MacBook Pro. I bought the 100-ft cable, connected a 2nd monitor across the house, both worked, though the MBP only delivers audio to 1 monitor at a time. Confirming that the 30' version of this cable DOES drive my 24" 4K LG monitor from my 2019 Mac mini, using the Thunderbolt 3 jacks at both ends. This DOES include sending audio to the monitor's speakers as well, which the Monoprice rep incorrectly stated it could not. This is an active, directional USB-C cable, with source and display ends clearly labeled. Since my only alternative was Areca's $600 optical Thunderbolt 3 cable, needless to say I'm happy. My only knock is against Monoprice for not knowing what their product does.

Not working!
Unfortunately, this product does not work. I plugged it into Docking Station and nothing happened. I lost a lot of time and money without interest. They said that it works with USB 3.1 Type-C but they did not mention in the description that it does not work with data transmission. I bought it on Dec 18, 2019, and upon returning to the product page I found the seller answered the only one question that we're asked a month ago and he said in the end, it does not transfer the data and that on the date of Jan 14, 2020. I am really disappointed and upset.

We have made strides to ensure there is minimal confusion with this product by directly naming this a "Type-C Video Cable," as well as in the description under the "USB Type-C Video" callout, which reads as follows: "Connect your USB Type-C enabled computer to a USB Type-C enabled monitor or display. Note that this cable only carries video." In an effort to ensure this does not happen again, we will add more obvious information to the product name to ensure other customer's are not confused and fully understand what this product is capable of before purchasing.
