BEST ANSWER: No, it’s not too much power. The iPhone 8 has fast charging capabilities and can support up to at least the 29W Apple charger, so this 18W charger would be fine.

My understanding is the 18 watt charger is a quick charger. The charger came with my 11 Pro and 11 Pro max I use it on all my Apple products except watch. Worked great on IPhone 6 Plus

I have an 8+ and this charger.... it’s great, it won’t provide too much power, however it will fast charge it, which is a feature of the iphone. It’s great.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, yes these cables work well with the iPad and the newer iPhone. I have purchased about a dozen and I will tell you that 2 of the cables from my first order (about 10 months ago) just stopped working. Overall very happy.

Great cable, better than the Apple one
Like the title states. High quality connectors and housings, and the cable doesn't discolor over time like Apple's.

Great cable!
Purchased to use with a USB C power delivery capable car charger, this cable speedily charges our iPhone and the length is great for getting to the backseat drivers, er, munchkins.
