Yes it does. But you can always use any standard USB adapter. If you connected to TV, you can also use the utility USB from the TV.

So I would like to connect this to my TV and use my Bluetooth wireless headphones. Is this possible?
Gavin M
on Nov 3, 2019
BEST ANSWER: It's possible if your TV has a headphone output jack, which is the small 1/8" size plug. You need a jumper wire to go between the TV headphone jack and the Bluetooth transmitter. I use it for this purpose and the Low Latency codec keeps the voices synced with the picture, plus u can lower the volume with the controls on it. It works very well.

Yes.
The unit comes with the cables you'll need too, a stereo rca to 3.5 mm female and a 3.5 mm male to male. Just follow the directions to pair, plug in, and power on.

Will this device mean I can use my iPod classic with wireless headphones?
A shopper
on Apr 6, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If your headphones are bluetooth then yes. You plug in the provided aux cable to the iPod. You flip the switch to set the Monoprice Clip to transmitter mode. You hold the multi function button where the brand label is. You double press the Bluetooth transmitter/receiver multi function button. You then make sure your headphones are off. Then hold the headphone's power button until a light flashes blue and red. Then hold the two devices close together. And a voice should say through your headphones connected,

I would assume yes. That is what this is for. The caveat would be that your car needs to support the Bluetooth formats this transmits. Generally it's backwards compatible but some cars have weird BT setups so it's possible it wouldn't work. But I would bet it works in most cars.

Yes, you can do this. Just make sure that they are using the same codec (which they should be able to negotiate on their own between the two devices when you pair them). Also be sure that one is in transmit more and the other is in receiver mode. You may need to do a hard reset on one of the the units when you change it from being a transmitter to a receiver (or vice versa).

Like most devices that function wirelessly, the range is highly dependent upon the device you are using with it. I was able to get 40-50 feet away from an iphone XR (no walls in the way) and the headset still worked for a call, though there were a few hiccups. When paired with a 2012-generation macbook pro, the bluetooth range was about half that reliably. Going through walls is not a strong suit of bluetooth, maybe 10-15 feet thru walls before it started dropping. I was using this device clipped to my collar while using etymotic iems. If I held the receiver away from my body the range/consistency was much better.

BEST ANSWER: This receiver will disable your headphone's mic and control buttons, if any. The receiver's mic works about as well as my headphone's mic, so it's not a problem. Also, the single button on it will pause your music player and advance or reverse the track.

I need something to extend Bluetooth range. For example, my Bluetooth speaker is fine in the same room with my laptop on UTube. Move the speaker just out of the room and the Bluetooth signal is lost. So, will this device receive and transmit at the same time, effectively extending the range?....or do i need something else you have?

Not for the home
This thing hijacks my phones audio even when Im plugged in with my in ear monitors. Super annoying, I have to baby sit it. The range is not great either. I could see it maybe working for a car if you are always going to want to connect. Two stars for home use.

Small and sounds good
Happy with the size and sound quality. There is a little bit of hiss when bluetooth kicks on and nothing is playing, but it's the quietest of all the bluetooth devices I have and it's not noticeable if anything is playing. It turns on and pairs automatically very quickly and the control buttons work well.
I have not had an opportunity to test aptX LL with another transmitter, but all the devices I've used it with seem to compensate for video/audio delay.
I'm taking off a star because the first unit I received had a bad battery that wouldn't hold a charge. The replacement has worked perfectly though and I would buy again if needed.
A nice bonus that it comes with a short 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable, a RCA to 3.5mm adapter, and a short USB charging cable. Also, there is a little rubber plug that you can use to keep the back flat if you want to remove the clip.

Missing one feature
The quality of sound is great with Aptx hd, has many features, the feature of auto on/ auto connect would give it 5 stars. My previous bluetooth receiver did not have the sound quality of Aptx
HD but would turn on and automatically connect when l turned the car on and pandora would auto start i didn't have to fiddle with receiver or the app at all. This one has to be manually turned on everytime. I will be seeking a replacement with the sound quality and auto on/connect feature.

Easy Upgrade
I have an older stereo/CD player unit in my garage that has excellent sound quality. The only issue was it didn't have Blue Tooth connectivity to stream media, nor did it have a 3.5mm input jack, only the older RCA type input connections. This rechargeable Blue Tooth adapter was the answer and works perfectly. It comes with a 12" long 3.5mm to RCA cable that plugs right in to older systems. This has added new life and usability to an otherwise great stereo. It was easy to set up. Just charge it, plug into any 3.5mm or RCA input, and pair with your Blue Tooth source.
It also doubles as a transmitter! on a recent trip to the park, my 12 year old had his portable blue tooth speaker with him, but forgot his phone. He found this adapter in the car, switched it to Tx, paired it with his speaker and plugged it into the cars 3.5mm earphone jack. It broadcast our cars satellite radio over 20 feet to his speaker. Made for a very enjoyable time.
I would definitely recommend this Blue Tooth adapter to anyone wishing to upgrade an older system or add reversible Blue Tooth compatibility.
