I have a satellite receiver that does not transmit Bluetooth (or FM), can I use this to plug the 3.5mm output from the satellite receiver and transmit to my car's Bluetooth? I believe that most automobile's Bluetooth receiver technology is different than what speakers and headphones use.
I would assume yes. That is what this is for. The caveat would be that your car needs to support the Bluetooth formats this transmits. Generally it's backwards compatible but some cars have weird BT setups so it's possible it wouldn't work. But I would bet it works in most cars.
I plugged this into my mini din audio out on my TV, paired with two blue tooth headphones. Works as advertised. Nice and clear. Able to work around the house while listening to my shows. Next, I hooked it up to my home receiver headphone jack (with a reducer- was full sized). Worked great. I mostly use it with USB charger on it all the time. Have not tested the battery life. Smaller than it looks in photo. Will be getting another one so I can keep them permanently. I use the same headphones with my iPhones. I need to "disconnect" from my iPhone prior to using it with this device.
I bought this bluetooth transmitter/receiver as a replacement for an earlier small version Monoprice transmitter. The earlier version only had a 2 hour battery this newer version has a longer lasting battery. I waited to write this review until I could run the battery to make sure it would last longer. It does. This version looks like it's picture and works great. I have no complaints.
Works great.. small and compact. Used it to link my vintage receiver to my wireless Bluetooth sound bar. Also tried it in my car and had ability to stream music from phone to car speakers without having to use aux cable.
