This matt is an exceptionally good buy. It fits nicely over the edge and protects my desk. Mouse works well on matted finish.

This review comes after a few months of ownership and after sorting through different desk padding options from different vendors.

Besides protecting the desk surface and the unbeatable price based on the material and size, there are more benefits than I originally thought such as:

*The coverage size is very good, and the extra space on the sides permits you to do away with the mouse pad as the textured surface is mouse-friendly.
*The front lip helps alleviate/cushion that pesky desk edge that is very bothersome when writing or using a keyboard/mouse.
*The surface wipes clean very easily.
*Has not warped, stays true to its shape.
*Give the desk an 'upgrade' as it makes it look nicer.

I bought this to protect and preserve the edge of my desk. It fits my desk perfectly. Delivery was timely and trouble-free.

Perfect, thick and sturdy.

Easy to maintain. It has traction so things don?t slide.

The desk mat is very good. It is heavy enough to not move around and lays flat. It also has a very nice texture. I wish is was roughly 6" wider though.

Shipping was a disaster...I didn't receive it for about a month. The first order was lost and the box for the second was in shambles. Fortunately the mat was not damaged. The customer service team at Monoprice was pleasant and eventually resolved the issue. I would purchase another.

this mat is very sturdy and thick; only possible drawback is that the black color shows dirt easily
