For this unit any 20-24 AWG shilded wire will do.. You must remember to use coax shilded speaker wires from the unit to the speakers. The wires MUST be the exact same length regardless of one speaker may be closer to the unit.
The voltage drop in an unqual wire lengths will creat an imbalance in sound being played.

With this mounted to the wall, how do you get power to it? There is an outlet close to where I want to mount this. Can this be somehow wired into the back of a wall outlet? I'm obviously clueless here...

I had the same confusion... It does not need a power adapter. I ran a constant 110 volt power line from another outlet, right into it. I took a good extension cord and cut the end or ends off. I plugged one side into a outlet in the attic. and the cut off side directly to the back of the amp. I ran the cord down the wall .
But yes you can also cut the end off and wire it directly to the back of the outlet also..

Yes You should be able to run a couple of wires from the back of the amplifier into the terminals of the electric outlet. Probably want to consult an electrician to make sure you are up to code,

If you look on the AUX input, it seems like you'll only get 1 channel. So obviously not 5.1, but you won't even have stereo. You may watch shows or movies and not hear some characters talking!

Hi Elvera. You can connect stereo cabling but this is a little complicated for some lay people. If you have RCA audio output from your TV (or P2 connector) you can at the other terminal, open the connector and use L and R signals connected to the AUX Input, and the shield of the cable is supposed to be the ground signal, that can be connected to the GND connector.
If i order more than 50 you can change the Aux icon for a TV?

How it is the minimum or lower volume, if considering the amp to be installed at reception of a therapy clinic? It cannot be that loud. And, what about background noise, when nothing is being played, for example?
Joao V
on Apr 12, 2022
BEST ANSWER: For its size the audio output is wonderful. No background noise from played content. The tuner may produce some static depending on your location. As for volume, in a quiet home setting I play it on about 1/4 power. Even at half volume it’s loud. The only thing to consider if you are thinking of a commercial application in the USA where building codes are involved, it will not pass US building codes as it requires both high and low voltage in the same box which is not allowed in the US.

There is a volume icon on the touch screen with a slide bar. It has an on/ off switch. There is no background noise. Radio channels can be set. If no sound is wanted, turn off or select SD card or USB if one of those is not inserted. Touch screen is user friendly. Need a good external antenna for good FM reception. Thanks

Is this indoor only, or can it be mounted outdoor?

BEST ANSWER: I would not mount this outdoors. I have it installed in my garage and its great but it is not weather proof or even resistant. Biggest complaint is the edge of the display is the same size as the edge of the install box so no matter how careful you are you can see the cuts in the drywall to install the mounting box. But I would still recommend.

Does this device have a safety agency approval? How do you mix AC and low voltage in the same electrical box.
Fred Arnold A
on May 18, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Do not remember any such marks. But have installed few of these with no operational issues. There is enough air volume between the drywall to dispute heat. The out screen gets warm during the operation especially where the AC terminal is.
There are about half dozen terminals in the back for AC, FM antenna, speakers and other wired devices. I did not find any issues using this installed device in wall in bathrooms using dual channel builtin speakers.
You must remember to use coax shilded speaker wires from the unit to the speakers. The wires MUST be the exact same length regardless of one speaker may be closer to the unit.
The voltage drop in an unqual wire lengths will creat an imbalance in sound being played.

BEST ANSWER: The general answer is yes. BUT, your Bose speakers require more wattage that this amp. Unless you want to play background music which this confirmation can handel.
For party and to overcome the crowd noise you need much bigger Amp with double the wattage. RMS that is.

BEST ANSWER: The general answer is yes. BUT, your Bose speakers require more wattage that this amp. Unless you want to play background music which this confirmation can handel.
For party and to overcome the crowd noise you need much bigger Amp with double the wattage. RMS that is.

If I have multiple units, can I link them together?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, using the RS-485 connection but it is not a simple connection with a graphical user interface. You will need to know how RS-485 works and how to access it. Also the linking them together would only be so that you can remote control them from a computer. You cannot share inputs from one device to the other.

Good sound, Cheap box
Powers 2 big Bose speakers, but the mounting box is the same size as the unit, so plan on fixing drywall. Also, no remodeling anchoring, and cheap knockouts. Once you get it in & working, it works great.

interesting product
works well enough for our application (master bath area)
2 shortcomings:
1. Min. volume setting is too loud for background music
2. FM radio sensitivity and noise level is poor

Need to be able to name the devices per room and remove the password if desired.

Absolutely fantastic
So I bought one of these for my own bedroom using the monopprice 8in inwall speakers and I have to say I was very impressed. So impressed that I bought another 1 and a set of monoprise 6 and a 1/2 inch in wall speakers for my son's bedroom

Good but could be GREAT.
Good product, but it needs design and programming work. The enclosure doesn't clamp to drywall to secure it in place. So you need to put it next to a stud. And you need to make the receiver face bigger than the enclosure not the exact same size. This will better hide the drywall cut-in from view. Also I have 3 of these things and every time I want to connect to one I have to guess which one because they all have the same blue tooth name. So that needs to be added to programming along with the ability to disconnect the blue tooth from the receiver incase your neighbor connects and play his music in my house.

Nice unit
Installation was straight forward. The unit fits the supplied box with little to no overhang so a trim plate would have been nice to make a more finished edge. As another user pointed out, the BT is only good for about 10-12 feet from the unit.
Touchscreen is responsive and it powers 2 6" Monoprice Amber in-ceiling speakers with ease. Would be 5 stars had it had a 1/4" overhang or included trim plate and better BT range.
