How do you connect the monitor?
A shopper
on Jun 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: The mount comes with a VESA attachment that you screw into the back of your monitor (any VESA compatible monitors will have the holes already, if you don't you can't use one of these). Then the VESA attachment gets hooked over the mounting arms and tightened down with thumb screws.

Hi there. This is a VESA mount. There are 2 sets of 4 screws that are included for you to use depending on the type of monitor you have (Determined by how deep the holes are on the back of the monitor).

The same way you connect any TV to a wall or pivoting mount providing the monitor has the industry standard VERSA hole mounting pattern on the back. So I guess it depends on your monitor.

The monitor connects to the stand via 4 screws that are included with the kit. If your monitor doesn't have the 4 VESA standard screw holes in the back, this wont work for you.

Is that a 1/4-inch screw at the top for something like a camera mount?
A shopper
on Jan 16, 2022
BEST ANSWER: No it's a standard VESA bracket. I think you're seeing how it attaches to the stem. A camera of mic extension would need some height to clear the monitor.

That screw secures the bracket that mounts to the back of the monitor. It's a coarse thread so it won't fit a camera mount.

I plan on using this for an iMac 21.5, will it allow me to lower the monitor all the way down to the base of the stand?
Tyler J
on Aug 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi, it would depend on the location of the VESA mount on your monitor. If the vesa mount is towards the bottom of the monitor, then your monitor might end up a bit high even at the lowest setting. The height range (center of the VESA mount) for this stand is 12.8 - 20". Thanks for checking.

How do you lower the stand? (I see you “just pull” to raise) instructions are not clear on this. Thanks
A shopper
on Mar 8, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the locking mechanism "resets" when you pull it all the way up, allowing the monitor to be brought down to the lowest level. Then the ratcheting lock engages again when you start raising the monitor. There are no external locks to manipulate, so height adjustments are easy once learned.

has anyone put a 32in monitor on this stand?

on Aug 25, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi, a 32" monitor would fit but the larger size limits your height adjustment range a bit. The monitor might also end up sitting on its lower edge at the lowest setting, but the stand is easily adjustable so some customers might not mind it. Just make sure the monitor is within the recommend 13.2 lb weight capacity and that you are OK with the vertical height range. Thanks for checking.

Hi will this work on a 34 inch ultra wide monitor that weighs about 12.1 lbs?
A shopper
on Jan 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will lift it but if will not raise it very far off the desk at max extension the centre of the mount is about 2' off the desk. Also when you reach the max extension the ratchet action on the lift releases and the monitor will 'fall' back down FAST so be sure to have a firm grip.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the package only includes two allen wrenches, one to install the base and the other to adjust vertical tilt, you could try if this would fit the top screw as well. If you don't have the tools, you could try doing the side-tilt adjustment a few times to let it bed in and see if it gets smoother. If that doesn't work you might need a wrench to loosen the nut or consider moving the whole mount from the base to face sideways.

Use this on my daily setup
For my work, to have 2 screens without taking up too much deskspace, I have this stand holding a 22" monitor over top of another 22" monitor. I know there are specific stands that mount 2 screens over-under, but honestly this stand has done the job just fine.

It seems to be a nice stand but it won't work in my space as it makes the monitor sit too high (I have a shelf above my desk area and the monitor won't fit under it). I guess I did measure quite right. And of course by the time I set it up I'm slightly past the 30 day return window. Otherwise it seems like a good stand for others to choose.

Good workable monitor stand if you need one.
This monitor stand works as advertised. The only drawback is perhaps the weight, this has a heavy base. The tilt works OK but you need to loosen then retilt, then retighten the tilt bolt to change tilt. Once you get it set there is no problem, it is just a bit awkward if you change it a lot.

Great stand especially for the price!
I purchased this because I had a friend gift me with a 32 inch monitor without a stand. I was searching for LG specific stands, but they were all $50+ used and hard to find for a 32 inch monitor.
This stand says it's for monitors up to 27 inches but it is definitely handling my 32 inch monitor just fine. The base plate is nice and heavy. If you get a bigger screen (bigger than 32 inch), adjustment may be an issue. I have about 4 inches from the base plate to the bottom of my monitor on the lowest setting which is more than sufficient.
It may not be as elegant as one's from the original manufacturer, but it does a great job and mostly you see the base-plate anyway. The 100 x 100 vesa mount works great and the kits comes with more than enough hardware to mount it.
The only small thing I would comment on is that it's a slight challenge to adjust the mount up and down especially with the screen attached.
This stand says it's for monitors up to 27 inches but it is definitely handling my 32 inch monitor just fine. The base plate is nice and heavy. Goes higher, base flat
Original stands that came with monitors don't go as high, and have pretty obtrusive thick legs that keep you from putting larger things on top. These let fit some speakers and smaller books under monitors, yay.

heavy duty
Bought this to mount a second monitor vertically. Fits a vertical 24 inch monitor very comfortably, with lots of height adjustment to spare, could easily fit a 27 monitor vertical as well. Base is a solid steel plate, very heavy and durable, includes foam pads so this stand will not scrape or slide. Would buy again.
