Can this be mounted to a wall?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: Yes, but it would look odd. The upper portion of the PC hold has four holes for screws. The two upper holes you can see in the product image. The lower two holes have recessed cavities to ensure that the screw head doesn't interfere with the height adjustment.

Not well. It is designed to be mounted under a table. If you mount it sideways on a wall, it won't have strength to hold a normal sized desktop computer.

It's designed to be mounted under a desk. It is not designed to cantilever the weight of a tower.

With enough duct tape, anything can be mounted anywhere you'd like.

BEST ANSWER: 8" is the widest this bracket will fit. Probably 7+7/8 to be safe.

This houses up to an 8" wide case. Any higher means without a method to bend metal you won't get the screws in properly to hold the base into place. Additionally, the bracket that the base sits on will only cover a smaller portion of the case and could lead to instability (outside working parameters).
I bent the metal to fit my NZXT case but I wish Monoprice sold a larger version of this.

The specs indicate that the max width is 8". I wouldn't try to make it fit if yours is 8.5". However, if you have the ability to bend the steel clamp bracket, you may be able to make it work.

Does this holder work with the single/dual motor height adjustable desks? If so, does it mount to the frame itself, or only the desktop?

BEST ANSWER: Yes, I have this installed on a height adjustable desk. Configurations will vary, but if the underside of your work surface has space to mount it and if there is adequate clearance, it works like a charm.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, this mount could rotate +/- 180 degrees, and would mostly be limited by the cables attached to your computer case.

Works great, a little loose
Works really well, definitely and older design because it is too small to fit most modern gaming computer cases, and when the adjustable pieces are at the upper limit, they don't flex, but they can pivot a few degrees around the adjustment bolt, but this can be solved with shims. Could use an extra couple inches in width, and possibly height. Would love a larger format version with less play in the adjustable parts.

Not as easy as you think.
The entire system is a chore to load and unload a case into. If you open your PC even once a month or so to clean, swap out parts, or swap out coolant then don't bother. It looks slick when your PC is loaded in the thing though. The ability to pull it out to press the top buttons is excellent. Not so great if you use the top front-mounted audio jacks or USB ports. It is possible to scratch your case being the entire thing is made of metal.

Works ok, not great
It works fine, I just thought it would hold the tower more firm. The adjustment ranges are too far apart so if you are in the middle of the range the tower will wobble.

Not (easily) Compatible with MP Desktop P/Ns 33085 - 33086
I bought this item to accompany my new sit/stand desk MP P/Ns 31290-31292, which is topped with a desktop from MP P/Ns 33085 - 33086. I made the poor assumption that the monoprice branded under desk mount with the features I wanted most would be compatible with the Monoprice branded desktop that fits on the Monoprice desk structure. The three-piece desktop I bought is supported by two cross beams that essentially render any place that might have been suitable to mount this item unusable for that purpose.
I *think* this would be compatible with the desk structure itself, if you chose to purchase the desktop P/N 21601 - 21606, however, I will note for other readers that I believe you would need to mount it so it slides left to right instead of forward and back, due to the cross bar from the desk structure.

Could be great...
This would be a definite 5 star if it could just expand 2 inches further... my bad for not reading the measurements before buying but I thought pc towers were universal, evidently I was very wrong. It would fit my tower without some tinkering and it works but not as stable as it should be. A spacer would be all that is needed to extend this just a little further and make it much more useful!

Great PC holder
This is a great and easy to use and mount PC holder. The ability to turn the case is handy and being able to slide it back and forth has allowed me to push it far enough back so I don't bump it. It also allows me to bring it forward far enough to connect things to the front without any problems. There's enough space above the case to allow the connection of a portable hard drive and rest the drive on top of the case.
