Replacing an earlier version of HDMI cable with these 4k compliant ones led to significantly better picture quality.

Took it out of the packaging, followed directions, hooked it up, watched a dvd. Took 15 minutes start to finish! I should also say I'm 73 yrs old and not at all tech savvy.

I bought an off=brand cable from Amazon to use with my Apple TV HD device. I had on and off issues with picture quality including contrast. My new Monoprice cable fixed the issue! Very happy!

had to upgrade the HDMI cable for the new 4K TV to get the sound to sync with the video. That was accomplished but the video still is showing JPG-dithering along some edges in the picture. Don't know if that is due to the video card in the TV, the HDMI cable, or the feed from the cable company. I was expecting better video quality than I am getting. In my old Panasonic Viera, there was no dithering, but it was only 720p video.
