I'm guessing the shielding. don't understand the specs. But the 33869 has the metallic exterior probably providing additional shielding...

The silver one is shielded so it means it will protect you from interferences if used with a shielded cat6a cable.

Can Cat7 cables be used on all ends of/with these?
Jason H
on Nov 21, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes. There's not much difference between cat7 and cat6a connectors. The only reason they may not say cat7 is that it introduces more capacitance at cat7 frequencies, so if you have more than one or two of these between two devices, you'll have a hard time getting cat7 speeds.

Too lazy to punch down...
They work exactly as advertised. And I think you could use these to link two Ethernet cables if needed.

Pricey, but worth it; very well put together
These are pricey but youll never have to replace them and they perform their job well. I was unable to break them with my usual fumbling around when installing into a Keystone panel. Usually with other brands, I break at least one during installation
