Will work on a select mini v2?
Aaron a
on Sep 20, 2019
BEST ANSWER: I believe so, I can't imagine why it wouldn't because the plug dimensions don't matter which will become clear in a moment. The most important thing to note before you buy this is they've pictured the wrong item--but what they send can work. The comments saying they shipped something else are correct and when I called them about it they were unable to produce the correct item. What they shipped to me was very short and would absolutely never reach the board. The item pictured is several times longer than what they're sending. That said, the item they ship you is intended to be soldered onto the existing wire. This means, of course, that whatever plug is on there is irrelevant. So unless they did something bizarre electrically it will work but require a little extra work on your part for both the v1 and v2 (mine was a v1, I'm afraid so don't take this as gospel). I didn't actually bother to solder it, I just stripped the wires and electrical taped them together with extra room so it won't pull out. I'll probably attach it properly eventually, but it's working.

Yes it will, but the long cable and connector are not included so you will have to solder the new one to your old wiring harness.

Will this work for the maker select?

BEST ANSWER: Yes it will work with the maker select. Although some come with a small wire so it may require a splice if you are using it for heating bed.

This is much smaller than the one pictured. It is actually 6 1/4" (16 cm.) This will not work as a replacement for the Maker Select Mini V2 if you want to run it all the way from the board to the hot end, but I've read that you can theoretically clip the end and solder it to the previous thermistor wire. However, it doesn't have a glass end, it has a half inch metal end that doesn't fit with the hot end if you keep the guard on the edge. All in all, it was disappointing and not was I was hoping for.

Wrong part- did not fit my machine
I received the wrong part, and it did not fit in my Maker Select Plus. I ended up having to order a proper replacement from a different company instead.

Item pictured is incorrect, but the shorter wire can be used
Comments about item not being as described are 100% accurate, but the cable you receive can still be used, it's just a bit less convenient.
After receiving the item and seeing it was unexpectedly short (maybe a quarter of the expected length), I contacted MonoPrice. I was informed that the intended procedure for installing it is to solder the thermistor to the existing wire. They also told me they do not sell the actual item pictured here.
I did install the thermistor successfully though. I haven't bothered to solder it properly yet, I stripped the wires and used electrical tape with plenty of give so it wouldn't pull out. I've printing on it for months this way, although I'm sure I'll need to attach it properly eventually.
The point is though, it works but is not at all as described here. I really think MonoPrice should fix their listing--it's acceptable to sell a part that requires soldering, but it's not acceptable to (at the same time) picture a different device with a plug that does not require soldering.
