Did this come with screws for the vesa mount?
Katherine S
on Feb 20, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Yes they do! I coincidentally just bought a new monitor yesterday and the are included washers and screws for both arms (so 8 washers and 8 screws at least).
I would recommend that you place the monitor onto each arm with another person to help due to the size and positioning of the process. I am a tall/relatively strong person and it was difficult for myself, but very simple with my partner.
Cheers.

Yes it does. Basically you screw a VESA shaped adaptor to your monitor, which then clips into a slot on the arms. Works well, and you can easily take the monitors on and off if needed.

As long as the monitor has vesa 100 or 75 mounting holes, and it is within weight capacity. If you are doing two, I would recommend making sure of the distance on the back center to back center is not too far outside the max width these arms will reach.

I would like to mount my 34-inch ultrawide, curved monitor in the center of my desk, and I also have a regular 19-inch monitor which I would like to mount next to, and slightly above the centered 34-inch monitor. Will this dual mount work for my set up? can it hold a 34-inch ultra-wide curved monitor along with a side 19-inch monitor?

BEST ANSWER: Monoprice has great measurements published for this (and most other) products. These dimensions are on the main product page. Based on the full extent of the arms, can your monitors be far enough from each other to suit your purpose? I would also suggest that if the arms are just barely long enough, perhaps that's not enough. You probably want some room to work with.
Furthermore, What is the weight of your large monitor (without stand)? Is it above the listed weight capacity? If so, you might have trouble.
Unlike many websites, Monoprice actually makes such questions easy to answer yourself, provided you have a tape measure and a bit of ability to visualize your desired result.

I have two 26" curved monitors side by side. There is still plenty of room to swing out further from each other. Right now one is 11" from the desktop and other 8". There is also still additional tilting to bring the higher one even further up. Be sure to check the weight specs for these arms to make sure they will hold the weight of your 34" monitor.

I purchased this, but my monitor is 15 pounds (well within the 19.8 lb capacity). That said the arms don't work and just 'fall' until the monitor is resting on my desk. Supposedly there are screws/adjustments that can be made, and I see the one adjustable place (using a supplied allen wrench)... but the arms can't even hold up 10 pounds. I can supply video of the arms not holding up a 15 pound weight.... HELP?

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the adjustment for the gas spring is the recessed hex screw at the base of the upper arm that has the gas spring. Make sure to turn the tool towards the "+" mark. These monitor mounts are shipped with the tension dialed down, so it may take many turns before the tension gets in the range to support the monitor. The mounts should be able to handle 15 lbs, if adjusting the tension doesn't work, please get in touch with customer support for a replacement. Hope this helps.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, the maximum width is approximately 40 inches, from center to center of each VESA mount. This is when the arms are stretched fully to the sides, and with the gas spring at a horizontal setting. Adjusting the monitors forward or higher would effectively reduce the width between the center of the VESA mounts. Hope this helps. Thanks.

Can this arm handle monitors slightly above 20lbs as well?
A shopper
on Feb 21, 2021
BEST ANSWER: Hi, exceeding the weight rating is not recommended for the gas spring mounts since they rely on the counterbalance force to keep the monitor suspended. Exceeding the weight rating could result in a wobbly mount, could prevent proper adjustment if the mount is not able to support the weight, or could risk damage to your monitor.

If only 1 monitor is mounted, does it impact either the mount, balance, orientation, of the remaining mounted monitor? I have a second monitor that I occasionally take to a different room to work in for a change of environment working at home. If only having one monitor mounted, or the logistics of un-/mounting the second monitor is an issue, then I'll just get the same single mount I already have for the first monitor, to mount the second monitor.

Terrific value
You can spend A LOT on screen monitors. And just as much for replacement parts for those expensive versions (I know, I have)!
These are great for both monoprice monitors I purchased, as well as other brands that I have. The adapters worked great no matter the brand, in my experience. And once I properly tensioned the springs they have held in whatever position we've set them.

Bulky?
It?s so bulky at the back that simply using the monitor stands would allow the monitors to be placed further back. I wasn?t expecting this problem to be as annoying as it is. If you are short on desk depth or the space behind the desk, you may want a different option.
Otherwise the stands are solid quality and perform well.

I love this monitor stand!!!
I have been using this for approx. the last 8 months. It set up easily and came with all necessary tools to install it to my desk top. Once set up, the monitors positioned, it just sits there. The original setting height and position of my two monitors is rock solid and has never once moved necessitating realignment. I have them mounted on a variable height "L" shaped desk that is rather large and motorized to change its height. Nothing phases this stand in terms of remaining rock solid through all the desk height adjustments I have made since installation.

Excellent--just what i was looking for.
Everything I was hoping it would be. I have a 34 in curved monitor and a 24 inch flat monitor that I have turned to portrait. I am very very pleased with how easy this was to put together and get on the desk. It's holding my screens just how i hoped and cleared a ton of desk space so that I now have plenty of room for both my docks, both my computers, and tons of other unnecessary crap on my desk.
Only note--it does take quite a bit of turning the adjustment knob to get the gas spring working on a large heavy monitor.
Much better than the options on Amazon and cheaper as well.

I really enjoy my dual monitor stand. It's easy to adjust my monitors and makes my desk look a lot cleaner. I would recommend having another person there to help you install it, and I would also suggest placing the base of the mount over to the left instead of the middle of the desk because I felt like the screens were too close to my face when I had it in the middle. With putting it to the side, you're able to push the arms back flatter allowing for more moving room for the monitors, if that makes sense. I also liked the variety of installing options, I drilled a hole in my desk and clamped it from underneath bc I could not use the traditional C-clamp style due to my desk having a back to it. Overall really good quality and sturdy stand for only $70 is a good deal.
