The "MP 27" Zero-G AHVA FreeSync 2.0 144Hz 1440p WQHD Gaming Monitor" says it has Freesync 2.0, but I've found that there are still many different implementations of this technology, can you be more specific about its capabilities?
    What is the Freesync Range?
Does this have Freesync over HDMI?
    A shopper on May 15, 2018
BEST ANSWER: According to the answer on another question, the FreeSync range over DisplayPort is 40 to 144Hz, or instead 40 to 60Hz over HDMI. FreeSync 2 also supports Low Framerate Compensation, so the effective range goes much lower.
As for other specifics, please see the other question about how the monitor implements 10-bit color.
What is the freesync range on this display? What type of panel is it?
    michael l on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Freesync range is reported as 40 to 144 Hz by the AMD Radeon software, when connected with DisplayPort. On HDMI, it is reported as 40 to 60 Hz. Note that Freesync is not turned on by default, and you have to go into the monitor's OSD menu to enable it (this confused me for a few minutes at first). It does appear to be an AHVA panel (shows IPS-like characteristics, no color shift on wide viewing angles and no banding on gradients).
Is this really IPS? If so how is the IPS glow? Also what is the freesync range? Is it really 10-bit color? Does it have a glass coating? Does it really have a 1ms response time?
    A shopper on May 18, 2018
BEST ANSWER: The panel is AHVA. FreeSync range, 10-bit color, and response time have been answered in other questions now, so you can check those out.
The title of the page says this is a AHVA panel, but nowhere in the specs does it say what type of panel it is. Is this truly an AHVA panel with 1ms response time?
    A shopper on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: AHVA panels usually have speeds just a bit faster than IPS panels (AHVA is a modified IPS, sort of). These usually range betwen 3-5 ms. Although I couldn't find this specific models specifics.
The specs don't say but is this a true 10 bit panel or 8 bit + FRC? Or does it accept a 10 bit signal and then output 8 bit color?
    A shopper on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: This panel is definitely an 8 bit + FRC AHVA-IPS panel, still has excellent colors though. I written a review of the monitor within the Monoprice listing.
Does the included HDMI cable support 144Hz?
    New User U on May 20, 2018
BEST ANSWER: It should. The main concern is whether or not the HDMI port on your computer/graphics card supports HDMI 2.0 or higher, which is required for full 1440p 144Hz.
Does this support HDR? Freesync 2.0 should support it... But monoprice specs are always minimal in their descriptions. Thanks . If it does, the product listing should reflect this. It is an important feature these days.

Maybe I'm blind, but I cannot find the inputs that are available on these monitors on the pages. I would think those would be included in the "Full Specs" section. What are the available inputs for this monitor?
    Accounts P on May 17, 2018
BEST ANSWER: In the text it says 2 HDMI and 2 Display port..." Its two HDMI® inputs support version 2.1 of the specification, while the two DisplayPort inputs support version 1.4
Does this support HDR? The freesync 2.0 specs call for that, but no confirmation on product manual or details. It is an important feature to note. So does it support HDR in windows or not?
    SCOTT D on May 24, 2018
BEST ANSWER: There is a toggle in the menus to turn HDR on and off. I can't confirm that it actually works, but the toggle is there.
Does this monitor have low framerate compensation?
    Zachary N on May 21, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Being Freesync 2.0, this should theoretically include LFC if it's up to spec.
Anybody on here that have the actual physical monitor can tell us if it is a real display port 1.4 and HDMI 2.1 equipped monitor?

    Monoprice Exceeds Expectations Again!
I recently purchased the Monoprice Zero-G 144hz AHVA Monitor to replace my 60hz 4k LG Display. Despite the lack of reviews and feedback of this monitor, I am glad I made the purchase. This monitor is definitely an AHVA-IPS panel though not a true 10-bit panel, but rather an 8-bit panel w/FRC despite what the manual says. Viewing angles and color are excellent out of the box being comparable to my IPS-LG Monitor. There are many settings within the monitor to customize the color profile if you want more accurate colors. The 144hz refresh rate is excellent and provided noticeably smooth experience in both gaming and desktop use compared to my 60hz LG Display. I couldn't go back to using my LG Display for gaming after experiencing 144hz despite the slightly lower resolution. The actual screen itself is covered in a matte-finish, not glass despite what the manual states. Bezels are extremely thin, being less than "3/10" of an inch on each side. All in all, if you plan to buy a 1440p 144HZ non-TN panel monitor, definitely consider this monitor from Monoprice, you won't regret it! For $300, you get all of the premium features at an excellent price compared to ASUS and Acer's 1440p 144hz Gaming Monitors.without the branding up-charge and unnecessary G-Sync if you are utilizing an AMD Graphics card, as I am currently.

Blew my expectations out of the water!
I seriously thought it would be years before I was able to afford a monitor with such high specs. 1440p 144hz 27 inch monitor with thin bezels is an incredible deal for this price, especially when you get it on sale. picture and color quality is fantastic. 5 star monitor for the price!
