The construction and image quality of this camera is good. If you are tech savvy and do not need a microphone, I would recommend this camera as a good choice for price/performance. While there is a lot to like, here are a few of the problems I found:
•There is no microphone as stated in ad and shown on Quick Install Guide
•Desiccant package under camera turret was keeping it from being able to be adjusted (moved).
•I had to completely remove the adjustment screw to be able to move camera. Then when you put the screw back in it changes the adjustment making it hard to get the camera in the precise location.
•Instructions do not exactly match camera.
•There is no hex screw for adjustment, it is Philips head.
•No “adjusting tool” as shown in the Quick Install Guide.
•User Manual has no mention of reset button for factory reset. Camera can be reset by holding in the button while powering on the camera.
•There is no default password as stated in User Manual. When you first browse to the camera you are presented with a screen requesting a password. What it wants is for you to enter a password to be created.
•Default port number is 80 not 8000
•SADP software tool mentioned is not available for download from Monoprice
