I would recommend this to a friend, and I would purchase the cable again. As a matter of fact, I have already ordered two 50' runs of this stuff for two other rooms that I need A/V equipment in.

PROS: This is probably the best price for an HDMI cable in this length that you will find...anywhere The product worked out of the box, with no surprises

CONS: The only con is the rigidity and girth of the cable. I was expecting a regular "skinny" cable when I ordered this, but when I opened the box It looked to be a direct burial cable. I was a little concerned that the cable would not be able to be fished through some of the 90 degree bends in the conduit running under the floor and through the walls, but it worked out finewithout lube :-)

From a central wiring closet, I have 4 hdmi cables going through out the house. A 100ft run, 75ft run, 50ft run, and a 30ft run. I have 1 source fed through 2 splitters (1x2 way, 1x4 way). The source goes into the 2 way, 1 input to the 4 way splitter and 1 into the 100ft run. On the end of the 100ft run, I have a repeater (and added the optional power adapter). It took this exact setup for the 100ft run to get the feed, but at the end of the day it all worked. Every single bit of equipment (except for the power adapter for the repeater) was purchased through monoprice and all of it worked perfectly! I can have 4 tvs all share 1 source on at the same time. No sparkles, no drops, video and audio working perfectly! Thanks Monoprice for such excellent quality equipment at great prices.

Would not display my 1080p PS3 signal. I tested the PS3 slim with other shorter cables and works perfectly so if you going to use this with a PS3 then I would save the 100.00 bucks. The cable worked perfect for me connection my pc to receiver and then receiver to TV but the PS3 is the only device that will not work, the signal is degraded and keeps going blank on screen.

CONS: I wish it would have worked for all my components, now I'm back to buying another one and hoping it works

It's not really the cable's fault or anything, but at 100', I needed to buy a repeater in order for the signal to actually make it. Again, that's not the cable's fault though. Be CAREFUL this is a THICK, MONSTER of a cable!! You will need to buy some "cable savers" with it or it will DESTROY whatever you plug it into.

We used this where I work in an installation with multiple TVs, a switcher(Four in and two out) and splitter (One input - four outputs) (both of the latter bought from Monoprice. I used shorter cables of similar manufacture (25 ft., 35 ft., 50 ft.) and they worked well, but this one did not. It took a little line amplifier (that uses the HDMI cables power) and it worked well. If your DVD player doesn't have a strong signal (and I have no idea how to check it) you might have a problem with this one.

The cable I received from Monoprice was great. It was a 100' cable that my husband strung from the house to the shop. I would definitely buy more products from Monoprice.

I had fretted over upgrading the component signal to HDMI for my projector for several years. However, I needed at least 80' of cable and knew I might have signal problems. MonoPrice offered a 100' cable at a great price and it could be returned without a restocking fee. Knowing that professional installers cringe at the thought of long HDMI runs, I decided to try my luck and test it first. It work flawlessy between my OPPO player and high end Sony projecter during the test and I called in a pro to assist for the in-wall installation. Things went smoothly, but the weight of the cable tended to pull the connector from the socket when I moved my rack. I wanted direct connections since fewer connections meant fewer chances for problems. Strapping everything tightly near the connectors has thus far solved the problem. The pro said I am quite lucky to have this working well since they have used cables costing $300 without success. The HDMI signal is noticeably superior with my gear.

PROS: Worked perfectly.

CONS: Quite heavy and connecting directly to components is a bit tricky, especially if you direct connect to a Blu-ray player on a movable rack.
