How many minutes does the backup battery last for computer, for tv, for modem & router?

BEST ANSWER: This power strip doesn't have a backup battery. It just protects against some power surges. I have yet to find a decent backup battery system for my computers, internet and TV. If you want real power backup, a large house-sized battery pack like a Tesla Powerwall does the job in a power outage.

This item does not have any battery backup functionality. It is a surge suppressor and is handy for use with a busy desk with many devices and wallworts are easily connected.

There is no battery. This is a surge protector. You are thinking of a "UPS" battery backup.

Does the RJ45 out port act as a powerline if connected properly or is this just directly connected to the “in” port?
Ryan M
on Sep 22, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Hi, the RJ45 Out port does not act as a powerline adapter and is instead a straight through connection to the RJ45 In port. Its purpose is to protect the network lines to provide complete protection of equipment from surges. Connections for phones, ethernet, and TV antennas could provide a back door for electric surges traveling through data lines, so this surge protector provides additional protection for equipment that are connected to data lines. Thanks for checking.

I'm pretty sure, it's just a straight through connection and not a PoE port.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
The ports labelled "In" and "Out" on the power strip in the bottom right would be the RJ-45 ports the specs and title are referring to.

Can you give the important specs on this device? What's the clamping voltage? Is it on 3 separate lines? What is the speed of the RJ-45 connection? (10/100 or is it gigabit?) What is the Let-Through Rating?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Loose wiring?
Love the features, but the RJ45 surge protector ports are flaky. There's sometimes no connectivity on pins 2 and 4 (per #8138) with a variety of store-bought and hand-terminated cables.
The problem seems to be the OUT port. There's a few mm of play in the depth when the plug is seated. The connection cuts when it's bottomed out. No obvious gunk, and I gave it an alcohol swab for peace of mind.
Workable, but makes me nervous. Do I need an exchange?

Very versatile
Slick black, flat design was a good fit for my shelf with a ton of devices that needed to be plugged in: modem, router, mesh router, solar monitor, WiFi gate controller, two switches, 3 printers, etc. Handy USB plugs too for stuff like phone and iPad.

Yup
This is wonderful against larger entertainment centers that cover the outlet. The right angle plug allows me to not worry about damaging the cable and lesses the gap between it and the wall.
Everything else is a bonus. USB chargers, coaxial connections, etc...

I like it so far
Plenty of room for larger power adapters and lots of plugs. USB connection keeps a phone charged (though don't expect this device to charge a phone quickly). Using for 1 month and no issues so far.
