I have 2 HDMI inputs. My Century Link Prism is plugged into HDMI 1 and my ROKU is plugged into HDMI 2. When I want to watch my DVD I have to unplug the ROKU and plug in the DVD. Can I have the ROKU and the DVD plugged in together with this splitter and will it work?

BEST ANSWER: I will have to say not able to do...cause I believe it’s designed to split a signal into 2 out to 2 TVs... not split 2 signals into 1...you want an hdmi switcher...has 3-4 hdmi Inputs and a button to switch inputs...the other reason it won’t work is roku I don’t believe turns off...I think when plugged it it’s still in standby mode...so this signal would continue to be the prime feed not allowing the secondary feed to register.... I may be wrong with all this info...but I believe you have a 1 signal splitter to 2 TVs...

This will work fine as long as only one of those devices is powered up at one time. If they are both powered on you will have issues.

My TV has only 2 HDMI ports. One is being used for cable the other my DVD player. I want to also use my Chrome-cast. Can I use this splitter on one HDMI port with the Chrome-cast and dvd player if I use them separately?

BEST ANSWER: Yes you can, I bought it to split one signal to two tvs at the same time. That won't work, because it can't maintain the signal strength. But if I'm only using one signal at a time it works fine. You should be ok John

"Note that this splitter does not pass the HDCP copy protection information, so it is unsuited for use in home theater systems. Please use one of our powered splitters for home theater applications."
What splitter works with HDCP? I can't find anything via the search. Looking for something like this, but that is compatible.

I just received my order. One of the HDMI outs has little sparkles sort of the way dead pixels would look. This happens regardless of which monitor or cables I use. It is always the same HDMI socketbwith the bad Video. These are short runs from a computer running Windows 10 to two identical Toshiba TVs. ???

does this product limit the length of the HDMI cables that we are able to use? I have a 50 footer that needs to be one of the cables, the other is 6 foot.

Simple splitter, does the job
This splitter is simple and functional, IF you are trying to sent the signal to two identical monitors. My video source box got confused when I tried to split it to two different TV models. I ended up going for a powered splitter because the internal electronics can mediate this issue.
