Does this include the SFP modules?
If not, what modules are required? Will 1Gb networking modules suffice, or 10Gb, or do they need to be 10/12Gb Video modules that support pathological patterns?

BEST ANSWER: Hi Shopper, The SFP modules are included. They are in the box with the rest of the kit. Just add your own LC/LC Multimode or Singlemode cable and you are ready to rock and roll. Thank you for asking,

Do the included SFP modules support OM3 fibre? I understand that OM1 does not support speeds greater than 10gbps. For full 18gbps 4k @60hz video it seems as if the minimum fibre needed would be OM3.

Both the manual (available for download under the Description) and the last picture indicate that fiber optic modules are included. There look to be only two modules. Although it isn't clear, it would appear that these modules work with both single-mode and multi-mode fiber. The manual states that the system provides 18 Gbps bandwidth.

The transceivers that are included with these devices are FiberTop branded and model is: SFP-BL35T1-02DC. Though I could not find any specs on it.

BEST ANSWER: Hello,
Thank you for your inquiry. This would support up to 4k @ 60hz, 5120x1440 @60hz would be a 5k signal so it would not support that resolution.

I heard a rumor that there a lot of kits structured like this one, that really only use one of the LC connectors of the SFP module for the transmission needs. Do you happen to know if that is the case with this kit as well? We are hoping to not have to burn up 2 fiber strands per kit. Also, is there a 30 day return policy on these in case we order a kit to test and it doesn't meet our needs?

Does this support 4k 60hz 10-bit HDR at 4:2:2? the support of 18Gbps and HDMI 2.0b seem to imply that this will work, but HDR is not mentioned in the specifications.

Does not seem capable of 3840x2160 4:4:4 60fps
This device advertises 18 Gbps of bandwidth and 4:4:4 60fps 4k video. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to work, and neither does 4:2:2 60fps 3840x2160. The best I can get it to do is 3840x2160 4:2:0 60fps, which ends up being around 6 Gbps.
Looking at the included SFP module, it claims that it is only rated for 10 Gbps. So why is it advertising 18 Gbps?
