Is the Displayport connector on this locking?, If not do you have a version that is?

There are no clips or attachments to 'lock' the cable to each other if that's the question. However I am using 2 of these to connect my pc to Monitors without issue, they fit snug together. They allow for 4K at 60hz. IMO required for smoothness. Currently HDMI only allows 4K at 30hz. Good product so far.

I just checked it and I do not believe it is locking type. I also purchased product number 13371 and the display port on it is locking. I am not sure if it supports 4k but it does the job for me.

No locking. However, there is small click when the dp cable is inserted. It also remains firmly in place if gently pulled on.

It is not locking. Works well though, at least at UHD 60Hz, 4:4:4.

Im looking to go from hdmi out xbox to displayport into my 4k monitor, will this work for my situation?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: Chances are that your xbox doesn't output 4k, and your 4k monitor has an HDMI input, so why not just run an HDMI cable?
If you don't have any HDMI ports free on your TV, or only have a DisplayPort, then you'd need to google specifically "HDMI to DisplayPort Adapter" (I don't see any sold by Monoprice) and find one that also include a USB plug that powers the converter.

So, which is it? Your answer says it does support HDR, the other answer says it doesn't. I need a cable/converter that supports HDR and 4k.
I finally got HDR enabled on a GTX 1080 ti with this adapter with much messing around but when the option finally stayed enabled the image was horribly corrupt. I have yet to figure out a way to get 10-bit color working however. So at first I was having issues getting 4K. Then sound kept cutting out briefly. I finally got my issues resolved but even if windows 10 detects it the image is messed up.

I would side with the answer by Desmond F. The Mini DisplayPort version of this product has the same 18Gbps bandwidth and it does say it supports HDR on the product description page. Perhaps the first person to answer had a bad cable or other insufficiency in their setup.

I have a an input delay when using this adapter with a Cabernet Ultra CL2 Active High Speed HDMI Cable, 75ft. Although the cabernet cable is long it has always worked with 1080P and 3D as well. Should I have got a different adaptor (active vs passive) or is the overall cable length in connection with a display port to HDMI adapter likely the problem?

Working as expected at 3440x1440 resolution
My employer transitioned me to work at home for the Covid crisis. The employer's terminal device has only two video outputs, one DVI and one DisplayPort. Only the DisplayPort output supports my home computer monitor's native resolution. Unfortunately, my existing home monitor only has two inputs, HDMI and DisplayPort, and I need to us the DisplayPort input with my own computer to support G-Sync. This active adapter provides the solution by allowing me to connect the DisplayPort output on the employer's terminal device to the unused HDMI input on the monitor. I've been using this for three months with no issues.

Issue?
I used it on an older monitor screen. I had purchase another display port to HDMI as a backup (the one w/out the cord). Both did not work. I'm not sure if it's because the monitor was older or the product does not work. If other reviews say it works well, then you have your answer.

High-res over DisplayPort-HDMI adapter.
Works great for high-res (greater than 1080p). Most DisplayPort-HDMI adapters I could find only supported up to 1080p. This one supports my 2560x1440 monitor great.
The only problem I have is that the DisplayPort end fits a little loosely in my laptops jack, so I need to be sure it is seated well, otherwise the signal gets lost to the monitor. I dont know if this is the adapters fault or the laptops.

Works with outputting 4k@60hz
I got a 4k monitor and according to its spec, it says 4k@60hz needs HDMI 2.0. My desktop has a DP output therefore I got this cable.
It works as expected.
The black screen happened once in the past couple of weeks: the screen became black for about 2-3 seconds. Do not know the reason.
