I was planning on using this Amp for these in ceiling speakers. Would I be able to run 8 speakers for some background music in a medical office? I do not plan on blasting the music at all, but I want to make sure I'm not exceeding any restrictions. Thank you

BEST ANSWER: These speakers would make a great match. The 120W amplifier is excellent for your application. Important: These 6.5” speakers have 3 power taps (wires you can hook to), 5W, 10W or 20W. Whatever you do, do not exceed 90% of your amp’s rated power. If you connect all 8 of the speakers via their “10W tap”, the system will see 80W load on the amplifier. Should work great for your application. One of the easiest systems to install. Tie all of your positives together. Tie all of your negatives together. Yes, you can daisy chain. Watch a video online and you’ll be a pro in no time.

It would be possible, if you connected to the blue (5 watt) or orange (10 watt) taps. The amp is rated for 120 watts and you want to leave yourself some room, so 8 speakers at 10 watts would work. Do not connect to the 20 watt tap on the transformer as that would give you a 160 watt requirement.

Eight 20 watt speakers in parallel would exceed the amps 120 watt capacity at 70 volts. However if you can tap the speakers at 10 watts, you will be okay.
