Can someone from Monoprice please respond here? Why would these cables not support 4k signals? The are stated to be certified for 4K@60Hz YCbCr 4:4:4. I need to purchase them for use with 4K PC output. Could there be any truth to these cables not reliably supporting 4k signals?
Hello, would the 4K signal not going through be due to the length (1ft) or would this be applicable to all cables lengths of this series?

This Ultra 8k cables are capable of HDMI 2.1 standards, including eARC. However, if that doesn't mean anything to you, then you don't need the 8K cable. The 4K cable (as long as it says certified for ARC) will do everything you need, just fine. I believe the Sony 950x doesn't even have eARC capabilities, so definitely go the cheaper 4K cable. You can upgrade to an HDMI 2.1 compliant cable next year (or even later) once more devices begin to support it.

I had initially purchased the Ultra Slim Certified Premium cables for my system but had picture connectivity issues. I switched to the Dynamic View Ultra 8K HDMI cables and no longer have any issues at all and can now enjoy optimum 4K viewing. I highly recommend the Dynamic View Ultra 8K High Speed HDMI cables when running your 4K HDR source components thru an A/V receiver/processor to your TV ARC HDMI input.

Monoprice 4K High Speed Slim HDMI Cable - 4K60Hz, 18Gbps, HDR, Active, 6ft, Black
BEST ANSWER: 13590 is an active cable which has a chip to boost data transmission. This allows for a thinner cable and boosts the data transmission in long cable runs. They are also directional which means data will only pass in one direction. For a 6ft length I don’t think you would notice any difference. For additional information do a search on active HDMI cables.

BEST ANSWER: No clear answer. Only slight wire size difference 34awg is thicker, however may concern is signal interference, shielding. I have had good experience with monoprice cables in general. Look at the max transmission rate and consider your needs! Don’t buy longer than you comfortably need.

the awg is the gauge or thickness of the wire, the smaller the number of the awg, the thicker the wire, so the 34awg wire is thicker than the 36awg. the thicker wire has better signal, but the thinner wire is more flexible and has less clutter.

Yes, these cables are capable of Dynamic HDR/4K/Audio Return Channel(ARC) for audio hook up via HDMI cables. Ultra 8K cables are just overkill at this point in time for the technology that is available. Yes, there are 8K TV's but there are very few if any broadcasts or media sources that provided 8K signals. Everything will be in 8K eventually, but probably not even before you buy your next future TV after your current one is obsolete. I hope this provides some perspective. I am very satisfied with my purchase of these cables.

BEST ANSWER: No. If they were directional, it would be marked in the connectors as to which one goes to what. If they are I didn't notice it with mine and all of them are working just fine.

Just received six of these cables from you. Getting ready to apply them to my 4K system. Are these cables directional; i.e. does it make any difference which end goes to which component?

Monoprice 4K Slim HDMI Cable
The answer to what I've been looking for. So tired of dealing with thick and stiff HDMI monitor cables. This is the best working solution I've found and I am impressed with the quality. You will not be disappointed with this produce.

Perfect HDMI cable
Slim profile makes it easy to route and conceal. These certified cables fixed some odd behaviors with my 4k gear communicating with each other. Highly recommended.

I like the flexibility of the new cables. They replaced Monoprice cables that were just too stiff although worked just fine. The new cables were easier to connect to my television.
