Can I use these cables to connect security cameras as well as the internet?

BEST ANSWER:You can use this cable to connect anything that has an ethernet port to a router/modem. So if your camera has an ethernet port, then yes you can connect this to the camera and the other end to your router or modem.

Monoprice for all your cables. Snagless RJ45. Can't tell you the number of times I have used a crap cable in my work with broken clips that has cost me lost data! I payed for these out of pocket. No more problems..
I was using a regular patch cat5 or cat5e cable to transfer lots of GB of video files from one computer to anotherthis puppy get them done in a fraction of the time I used to use. Good investment!!

Fast shipping and cable does what it says it will do hooked up a rooted Amazon Fire TV console to my laptop w/an external HD attached to improve streaming ability. This cable made it happen.

I bought these Ethernet cables to migrate some old files from my Windows PC to a new iMac. (I have not yet purchased the iMac but will do so in late December or early January. I am waiting for their new Yosemite O/S later this year). I can tell you that I have purchased other products from Monoprice.com and found them to be high quality items, and at incredibly low prices. I do a lot of research before buying, so I have read other reviews of these cables before deciding to get them. I also checked with their support team to make sure these were the right ones to do what I wanted to do. I will gladly update this review after I use the cable, but I anticipate no issues.
Works perfectly, just the right length for my needs
I bought this cable to transfer several hundred gigabytes of files from my old WinXP machine to my brand new Win7 one. Thanks to this cable and Microsoft's Easy Transfer program, I was able to get all my precious old data with very little trouble!
