I have 5 wires, 2 speaker (PID 4037 AWG 12, Cond 4G), 2 Optical Tos Link Premium (PID 2764) and CAT 5 Ethernet running about 30 feet on the edge of a bare wood floor.. I may at some point need to add 1 or 2 more. Raceways won't work. I would like to use something other than cable ties to bind them. Is this the best solution? This may do it but will it work? Are there other options?

BEST ANSWER: for a floor run it is a bulkie wrap for this application, i would not reccommend it for that use... for cable wrap to look nice in a dvr cable run with cat 5 cables it is excellent. but this is on a wall mount

It will work being the product is expandable. I use it for commercial use with 2awg cables but just to make it presentable.

How do you cut it to length without it unraveling?

BEST ANSWER: Use a lighter to melt the ends, prior to wrapping the cable of course. Simply cut it, and then melt it a little. Might be good to add a zip tie or velcro tie on the end you melted so that it stays snug and doesn't stretch and tear in time.

Is this safe to feed through a wall around cables that are already rated for in-wall use (HDMI, Ethernet, coax only, NOT power cables)? I'm looking for something to wrap around these cables to keep them bundled together and prevent snags when feeding through the wall. I already have a power outlet at mounting height so it would not be used for a power cable.

BEST ANSWER: It's a woven material so I think it will snag on anything inside a wall.

Pretty good just don't cut it.
it works well as a cable wrap. I just wish cutting it led to better results. After cutting off some excess strip it got all frayed. It's not the worst thing in the world but it would be nicer if it came with some tape or something to fasten the end.
If you get this try to order the correct length.

Be aware of the dimensions
Smaller than I thought, but it can be doubled to make more room. Would be good for small A/V runs.

it works great, very handy, just need to burn the edges if you need to cut.

Use Fire
This stuff is amazing. It's flexible and exactly what I need to keep my office looking great.. If you have a heat-shrink gun, you can make it less flexible, but be careful that you aren't cooking what's inside.
One big tip:
If you plan on cutting it to a desired length (I highly recommend doing so), after cutting get a lighter (an ordinary bic is fine), and melt the ends. Make sure the room si adequately ventilated, as it can smoke a bit. As you do so the plastic will melt together and shrink a little, which means it won't fray and unravel in time. If you don't do this, the part you cut will fray out and you'll end up needing to attach a zip tie or something similar to keep it from unraveling.

Once you cut the cable wrap, the cut ends starts to separate.

Good looking cable wrap, just don't cut it
Good looking cable wrap, but when I cut it to the length I needed the cut end just frays all over and looks pretty terrible. I hid that end on the side of the cable behind the desk so the manufacturer cut end is what's visible. The unfortunate side of this is that you can't really cut more than two lengths if you want it to look good (provided each length only has one end visible), wasting a lot of cable wrap.

Works pretty good for cleaning up my set up. Sealing a new cut end with a lighter is a pain. The end result is worth some toasty thumbs. Wires dangling from a standing desk looks like hot garbage. It stress me out, bundling them reduces that feeling.
I'd really like monoprice to stock this in white as well.

Tamed the Cable Cracken
Finally tamed the many tentacled monster behind my TV. I live in an apartment so going into the wall isn't an option

Handy and flexible wrap
Great wrap to tame quite a few cables into a single bundle.
