I'm trying to connect a graphics card with VGA output to a CRT TV that has a component input. Will this cable work?

BEST ANSWER: I think it depends upon your graphics card and TV. Physically, this would do it. But it is designed to send a component video signal (similar to true RGB) which is typically 240p. If you graphics output is 480p, then your TV needs to support that. The vast majority of CRT TV's do not; only EDTV's and similar early 2000's late CRT models had a 480p progressive scan mode.
You usually need a special graphics card in order to output a 320x240 resolution, progressive scan, also called 240p. But don't despair! The traditional VGA resolution is 640x480. You could use a downscale to convert this resolution to 240p. However, these are obscure products. I know two. First the "Corio 2". Hard to find, on Ebay, etc. Second, the Retrotink 5x, with its currently experimental downscale mode. This product should work, but, it's $400.
Soooo...You really should just check your graphics card resolution support in its documentation, to see if it supports 240p if hooked up to a compatible display.. Your TV will mostly likely only support 240p progressive scan.

This is a passive cable. It relays the VGA RGB signals to a component YPbPr connection. There is no adapter 'in' this cable that will make any sort of signal conversion.
The user poses a question that asks if they will be able to output their PC signal to be viewed on a CRT (as a monitor). Typically, the answer would be NO it doesn't work like that, but the answer to this question is actually dependent upon the graphics card they are using for output. A modern graphics card most likely will not, but an older one (with a TV tuner) might.
These cables are typically used for recording & capture AKA getting the component signal INTO the PC capture device. The card inside the PC is doing all the work whether it is receiving or outputting whatever signal it is being directed to record or output to a specific device.
I hope this answers your question.

No, this cable is not a converter - it will not convert a VGA video signal into Component (YPbPr) video. This cable is used for devices that output a Component video signal using a DB-15 connector.

The cable does no conversion itself. So it depends on what your PC VGA port is outputting.

I believe this will work as this cable use standard d-sub 15pin connector.

Yes it will so long as your PC is set to the correct resolution.

Can T430 with intel HD Graphics 400 / NVIDIA NVS 5400M display adapters showing in device manager be configured to output component video to use with this cable? Thank you!

I wanted to play Famicom on my 21-inch CRT TV with NT Mini Noir, but it doesn't have RGB 21 pin, so I can input D terminal instead. We thought that we could use and purchased.
I'm glad I bought it!
The dots were clearly reflected, and the game was completed with very beautiful images.
thank you!

Works great for MiSTer w/ analog board and a few extras.
Works great, for my MiSter FPGA setup. I ended up getting a rca to s-video splitter and using red and green on this cable to get s-video working on my CRT w/ the s-video compatible MiSTer cores.

I can't believe how affordable these are!
High quality cables used on my Analogue Nt Mini. The picture is crystal clear on my Sony PVM. The shielding is thick and durable; the cables are well made!

Perfect for Analogue Nt Mini
I purchased these cables to use with my Analogue Nt Mini noir so I could hook it up to my CRT television using component. The cables work great and the picture on my CRT is razor sharp. I am also looking to use these with the Analogue DAC so I can do the same with my Super Nt and Mega Sg consoles. Highly recommended.

Grab this cable if you need component input and have a Mista FPGA with VGA IO board or Anologue SuperNt w/DAC
The cable is of good quality with solid shielding. Produces a great picture. I certainly feel spoiled since most of my crt TVs growing up used RF as an input. Sharpest pixels I've seen in person so far.
