When will this be back in stock?
    A shopper on Nov 25, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There were more in stock for Cyber Monday but now the ETA is 2/6/2018
I am unable to reach a bed temperature of 100°C with the extruder heater on. Is this considered normal operation? I can reach 100°C with only the bed heater on, but as soon as I switch on the extruder heater, the bed starts to cool down as the printer prioritizes heating the extruder. With the extruder set to 230°C and the bed set to 100°C, I can only reach a bed temperature around 70°C (stable).
    Brandon M on Dec 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: You should set up a slave heater on it to reach that temp. The power supply included is not capable of this.
The specs say that the build area is 4.3 x 4.7, which appears to be length x width, but what is the maximum height for a model that this can build?
    Anthony R on Jan 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Because the build platform is a circle, the specs are expressed as "diameter x height" -- note the use of the "ø" character in the specs to indicate diameter ("ø110 x 120").
How do you set the bed higher than 60°c ?
    A shopper on Dec 2, 2017
BEST ANSWER: The only way to get the platform to go higher than 60 decrees C is in your slicer application of choice. For example, the printer comes with Cura, so you will have to set the bed (platform) temperature there to what you need it to be.
    What can it print?
    A shopper on Nov 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Almost any small object that you can design or download from a place like Thingiverse. It's major limitations are small-ish print size and the fact that it is only rated to print on two plastics - PLA and ABS. I suggest you try PLA first, it's more forgiving and doesn't smell like burning straws.
why is the eta set for june of next year? that seems a tad long.

does this come with a printed manual or a printed quick start guide?
    kathryn o on Jan 26, 2018
BEST ANSWER: Mine showed up just as the product page describes, quick start and manual are on the micro SD card. Nothing printed. The docs are also online.

Does the MP Mini Delta printer work with Simplify-3D?
    New User U on Jan 22, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I tried it out and it seemed to work ok. I had some issues, but I found out later it was due to the memory card being corrupted and filling the gcode with a lot of UUUUUUUUUUU values. Also, I found that the MP Mini Delta Wiki has Pre and post gcode script which also fixed a lot of issues with starting to print.
Can the Delta print using PETG filament?
    New User U on Feb 16, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: Yes it can
Can a replacement heated bed with PEI layer be found for the Mini Delta? Mine has a patch torn from when I tried to remove a print.
    David C on Feb 12, 2018
BEST ANSWER: You're better off removing the pre-existing print bed material until it's the base metal and then using blue painter's tape for adhesion. You could also go with commericial solutions such as "BuildTak", but blue painters tape is the most economical option.
Can this printer do tpu or any flex materials? Want to print mounts for my mini quad. "Drone"
    A shopper on Jan 29, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No, this uses a boden tube to send the filament to the print head. Flexible filament will press against the walls of the tube and prevent it from printing. You need a printer with a direct drive extruder.
    Does this come with filament?
    New User U on Feb 8, 2018
BEST ANSWER: No. Filament is NOT included with the printer.
What is the nozzle thread size and pitch on the Monoprice mini Delta?
    New User U on Jan 28, 2018
BEST ANSWER: I've read (but haven't verified) that almost any M6 threaded nozzle will work with the mini delta.
What is the nozzle thread size and pitch on the Monoprice Mini Delta?
    A shopper on Jan 28, 2018
    BEST ANSWER: M6 thread

    The little Delta that could..
Only 4 stars due to small bed size and slightly odd-ball control interface.

Used within its physical limitations, this printer is capable of surprisingly good prints, with clean, error-free layers, excellent registration, and very consistent flow rates using PLA Plus+.

Setup using Repetier/Slicer, its prints are as good, and for smaller objects better, than my highly tweaked Wilson2 Prussa clone and certainly exceeded our expectations for its low price.

Good machine - needs firmware updates
    Pros:
    * Great entry-level price
    * Excellent first or secondary printer
    * Auto leveler works (after gcode configuration)
    * Solid/proven company name (monoprice/IIIP)
    * Plug-n-play operation (sort of)
    * Most of the problems I've noted below are probably fixable via firmware updates.

    Cons:
    * Could not get working via macbook connection
    * Requires GCODE configurations (not entry-level friendly - see tips)
    * Filament loading is difficult (not entry-level friendly - see tips)

    Tips:

    * Use offline printing (SD card) to avoid software or network problems ruining your prints (completely personal preference)
    * MUST USE LOW DENSITY SD CARDS - High density cards will not work and it won't tell you why.
    * Unwind the PTFE tubing (white filament tubing) from the cable bundle to make loading / troubleshooting filament easier
    * May need to detach PTFE tubing to properly feed filament into the extruder (print-head)
    * GCODE for auto-leveler must be added to the "Start" GCODE in your machine configuration. You also need to fine-tune the leveling in the GCODE. (see below)
    * Common bed adhesion practices still apply here (blue painters tape makes PLA stick to the bed better, etc)

    GCODE for auto-leveling:
You will need to add a G29 command to trigger an auto-level before each print. Mine looks like this:

    G29 C-0.4 Z0.1

The "C" parameter can be used to fine-tune the leveler. Negative values will level closer to the plate and positive values will level further from the build plate.

Good Luck and enjoy your printer!

    Performance vs Price is amazing
Produced perfect test print straight out of the box.
I brought it into work where we have 3D printers costing up to $400,000
The engineers were all impressed and the performance vs cost.
A great choice for my first 3D printer... thank you Monoprice !

    Very impressed
My first print is going as I write this, and I'm impressed with how far the technology has come in such a short time. I have a Select Mini as well and while that printer is great, this one blows it away. I had it out of the box and printing within 5 minutes. Great quality and speed - I'm looking forward to trying an ABS print - something I was never successful with on my Select Mini. Not having to level the bed is worth the price of admission itself.

Best Bang for the Buck on the Market Currently.
BLUF: The mini delta is an accurate and speedy printer with all features one would need this side of a Prusa.

    Pros:
    - the price is in impulse-buy range.
    - delta kinematics allow for faster print speeds in addition to just looking cool.
    - works right out of the box.
    - accuracy: first calibration cube (no adjustment) was fewer than 100 microns off on all sides. At .1mm, I can even read the writing on the back of a benchy.
    - compact and sturdy, it's now my preferred travel printer.
    - all the features, heated bed, auto cal, etc. There's really not much to upgrade our mod.

    Cons:
    - connectivity: micro USB would not work reliably, and the SD card is finicky (cause of my two failed prints (out of around 30 prints/ 500g filament). I have to reformat it every week. I haven't tried WiFi yet.
    - noise

    Tips:
    - Use 6 point bed leveling. Google the g code to input into Cura.
    - format the SD card as FAT32 and uncheck quick formatting. This works most consistently for me.

For the price this printer does a great job
I initially struggled trying to print with ABS and then realized this printer really can't sustain the heated bed at the recommended temperature to support this material (even though the specifications suggest it can reach 90 degrees). Once I switched to PLA things started working great!

Cheap, fast, or good. Pick two.
It is what it is. It's cheap, fast and adequate. It has alignment issues, dimensional drift in the prints, and the gap between the feed tube and the extruder itself, which can be a point of jamming if you don't preheat the nozzle and force some filament through to clear any jams due to cold filament.

It's very well built. Well packed. A solid machine that has bed leveling and easy to set up. It's also fast. I'm impressed. It will make a great secondary printer next to my MP Maker Select V2 (Wanhao i3 clone).

This will work great for brackets, braces, items that do not need to worry about finish. I think it will be great for a backup system. I'm very happy with it, but I would not have it as my primary machine.

    New Favorite Printer
I have two MP-Mini printers, a maker ultimate (Duplicator 6), a Prusa i3, and a Pegasus 3d printer and this one is my new favorite. It was out of the box and printing in 2 minutes, the self leveling bed it awesome, and it is fast and accurate. It is also the most fun to watch.

There are a few cons, but they are far outweighed by the awesomeness. The power supply is only 5 amp, and so it takes some time to get up to temperatures, it also really struggles getting to ABS temperatures and maintaining them, I would not recommend the printer if you plan to print with ABS, just stick with PLA. The auto leveling is great, but if your are printing less than 100% layer height on the first layer (you should probably be closer to 120%) the object will stick really really well and likely will not come off without a lot of effort. In fact, I ended up sticking a part to the bed so well (at 100% layer height) that it removed the black bed that came with the printer when the part came up. I put down blue painters tape as a replacement and that has been working really well.

Overall, if you want a 3d printer whether your first or fifth, I recommend this one for ease of use, quality, and sheer awesomeness.
