Is this up/down or left/right for angle?

on Nov 12, 2020
BEST ANSWER: This is a vertical integration in a standard Decora wall plate. So the internal HDMI plug will point up/down depending how you install.

Not enough clearance on back-side of connector
I'm not sure what kind of hdmi cable people are using but I have several cables and none of them fits onto this properly. There is such little clearance on the back side of this bracket that the hdmi plug bends the bracket quite a bit. After all of the work spent pulling wire, I don't plan to take my chances with a thin piece of plastic bending significantly, so I won't be using these. Maybe they will hold up???? But it's not worth my time to find out the hard way, and it clearly is bending beyond the normal angle.

MY "YANG-YINGED"
I ordered two 90º HDMI Connectors thinking that the offset would create a straight path from one enclosure to the next. I used a double box enclosure with an open bottom in conjunction with a triple enclosure. My poor design make it impossible to use the 90º Connector with the triple enclosure. I went to The Home Depot and purchased a Straight Connector. I can always use the extra connector for a key chain.
