Does this unit distribute audio?
A shopper
on Mar 5, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Yes, as long as your source is pushing audio via HDMI. If you are using a PC make sure HDMI is the output, otherwise any other HDMI device will send audio natively.

I want to split direct tv, apple tv 4k, sony 4k blu ray and roku ultra to a 70" Vizio 4k wil this work?

BEST ANSWER: You would not use a HDMI splitter for this. Rather, you should use an HDMI switch which takes multiple HDMI sources like the ones you identify and routes them to a single HDMI port on your TV or monitor. Monoprice has several excellent options. One great one is Product # 15263. a 5 input, 1 output HDMI 4K switch that suppors the latest HDCP standards. It includes auto switching which switches the input by sensing when you power on your device.

This is opposite of want you want. This uses one source such as your 4k blu ray player output and would be able to send it to 4 tv's. What you want is a switcher that uses the latest HDCP 2.2 standards which takes multiple inputs and sends it to one or sometimes 2 outputs. You want something like this but HDCP2.2 not 1.4. https://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=4067

Hope I can help somebody else with my input here: I used the 1-to-4 21613 MP splitter to send the A/V output signal from a (4K) DirecTV Mini Genie (C61K) in our family room to two TV sets, a 65" 4K one in that location and a smaller, 27" 1080 one in the adjacent kitchen, then the audio side only to two A/V receivers for (excellent) sound reinforcement in both locations. HDMI cables used were: MP 4K ones between the DTV player AND the family room TV, then regular 'older' HDMI for the rest which were perfectly OK for this purpose. FR TV was connected to position 1 of the splitter, the kitchen one went in #2, then the two receivers in 3 & 4 respectively. The four little switches on the front of the splitter HAD TO be set as choice "110-0"/"4K@60Hz HDR - LPCM" (see manual!) for every one of these components to work as desired, in our case, FYI. Cool!

I have a Monoprice 32" 4K 60Hz monitor and a Lenovo Explorer WMR headset and only one HDMI out on my Nvidia GTX1060. No cable or adapter seems to allow me to use Displayport and get HDR. I was told this will work but I read that resolution will be the lowest output source. I am concerned that would mean the 1440x1440 90Hz Lenovo would prevent me from getting 4K and may not even work since 60Hz is the max for this splitter. Is that correct?

BEST ANSWER: Really a poorly written problem. According to Wikipedia under Display Port scroll down to Display Port Version it says the only HDR capable standard for HDR is Display Port 1.4. I assume your Monitor is the Monoprice #27772? Under those specs it says Display Port 1.2a. Now with regards HDMI using the same assumption on your Monitor #27772 the HDMI spec is 2.0 which does handle the HDR Hybrid Logo Gamma and the static HDR signal not the Dolby Vision version HDR+ according to the HDMI section in Wikipedia with the caveat that max refresh rate is 60hz. Currently I am using the above mentioned or shown HDMI DA and yes it does handle and HDR signal. I hope this and my time helps you.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. A splitter will read the common supported resolutions of both displays and require that resolution to be sent. So if you have a 720p display and 1080p display, it will either choose 720p or 1080i as the resolution.

When I am buying a HDMI splitter, I have a hi end receiver, so I know the sounds for the movie like Dolby DTS-HD, what I am trying to find out, my receiver has a hdmi for gaming, but because I have 3 different gaming consoles, I need to get a hdmi splitter, do I need to have audio pass-through like I see on sum hdmi splitters, or does my high end Denonx-7200wa command series, take care of that, so I would look for a hdmi standard 4k 60hz, 18Gbps splitter, or do I need the hdmi audio pass-through splitter?
Thanks
Thanks

Works as adverstised
So far so good. Have three tv's hooked up to this splitter, all are working fantastically. Two of the tv's are new 4k, while an older 1080p HD tv. No delays in picture to the different tv's. Very happy with this model.

No Worries
I have had the Blackbird 4K Pro 1 x 4 Ultra Slim HDMI Splitter, HDR, 4K@60Hz, HDCP 2.2 running for the past month. Just hooked up my two TV's plugged it in and good to go. Beautiful picture on both sets and no problems.

Great HDR HDCP 2.2 DA
Currently I am on the bleeding edge on display monitors, 4kUHD HDR signals. I had no issues with using this device sending a UHD HDR signal to 3 different brands of displays. This has to be one of the smallest DA's I have ever used.
