BEST ANSWER:Hello, yes they will work but why pay this much for these when you should buy their other rca cables that will work just as good and you could save a few bucks to buy these for like your sub, or other places you need great rca cables instead of really cheap one.

If both your DVD player and the TV have RCA connections, it should work. These are quality industry standard RCA connections suitable for connecting audio sources / destinations. You are correct you will need two (2). Each unit is 1 cable.
The Monolith are audio cables exclusively. If you are asking to connect the audio Left & Right from your DVD to the input of your TV, if it has stereo input, the answer is yes. But for Video you need a video cable.
I like the way it is made, seems heavy duty and I think it should last for years I hope. A lot better than any monster cable I have owned in the past. I don't know what company in China is making these for Monoprice but if they keep using these people I would buy more if needed from them. Oh very solid feeling when I plugged it into SVS PC13-Ultra Sub and into my Onkyo TX-RZ920 sub's plug. The cord isn't so stiff that it doesn't lay out easy and around things if you want to know, as where I had some that seemed so stiff it was like a steel rod and wouldn't bend. I myself like the cable and I would think most people would too. I have read tho in the past and don't know if others feel the same as me, but when comparing the plugs being gold pated versus just plain metal there were experts that doesn't think it matters being gold plated and then there are ones that swear by it being gold plated. I feel it does myself from reading and doing some research. I hope that maybe someone else that buys one of these will comment their view of what I wrote, hopefully someone will. I would love to hear what others think and if you have a link maybe post it. Thanks for reading and I give it five stars with build from end to end.
Seriously good cables for an unbeatable price! Quality cables with tough nylon out jacket and beautifully machined ends. Use them between my Pioneer PL-630 turntable and Peachtree Nova 150 integrated. Don't believe you can bear a difference between cables? That's what I've always believed. Until now. Clearer, more open sound, and better bass depth. Didn't think it possible, but there it is!
Finally upgraded my home Theater with new speakers with a Sub... Need this to connect my receiver with the new Sub. Does exactly what you need ...no noise and great sound!
Watch out - you only get one cable! But it's a good one.
First of all, please be aware this is for a single RCA cable. I just assumed it was a pair and ended up having to order another one. All other Monoprice RCA cables are sold in pairs and in fact I can't think of a reason why anyone would buy a single RCA cable, so this is inconvenient. The picture looks like you are getting two because it shows both ends. It's also awkward because it means both cables look identical and you can't differentiate between left and right. Usually pairs of RCA cables are different colours. So for these, I had to put stickers on one of them which doesn't look so great. But about the cable - it seems great. It replaced another cable for me which was giving a lot of RFI noise (I could even hear some radio reception on it). This one is dead silent, so I can tell the shielding is great. I use long RCA lengths to my turntable (which is an inherently bad setup but sometimes that's the way it goes) so RFI can be a big problem, and these solved it. Other than that I can't tell how much different from my previous RCA cable, which was a more expensive Japanese cable. So that's good. These are a definite improvement over the cheaper Monoprice RCA cables. Both are great values, but if you have higher end equipment, you'll appreciate the better shielding and tighter connections on these. They compare well to the more expensive Japanese cables I replaced.
While these may be the most expensive RCA cables Monoprice has to offer, they are remarkably better than their premium line which I replaced w/these.
I connected a 12' cable from my Project Debut Carbon turntable to my Denon AVR-3803. My speakers are Klipsch RB-3s and I do have a Monoprice 12" powered subwoofer connected to this system.
Right away I noticed deeper bass while playing The Who's "Baba O'Reily (Decca pressing).
While my system isn't anywhere near top of the line, it is a decent sounding system and it did improve with these RCA connectors.
The sound stage increased in both width and height.
