Will the tempered glass be ok with the heat from a tube audio amplifier sitting on top? The amp would be raised a half inch over the surface of the glass. Any ideas? Thanks!

BEST ANSWER: Hown hot does the amp get? Unless it gets over 470 F it shouldn't effect the glass. Components in the amp would likely break down before the glass surface would.

Since the amp is on its own "feet" and the tubes are on top, about 8 inches from the glass, I am pretty sure we are not going to be bringing 470 degrees to the table here. I also see a nice all metal stand here on the site that might fit this amp application as well. I thank all of you for your answers!

First make sure you know the highest level of heat your amp is discharging. I read tempered glass can withstand temperatures of up to 450 degrees F. Tempered glass is regular glass that has been strengthened through thermal or chemical treatment. I would trust up to 400 degrees to be safe.

Should be fine. Living in Southwest Florida, and have the stand in direct sunlight by the window. Tempered glass gets only luke warm.

BEST ANSWER: 3 and 7/8 inches to the top of the glass surface from the table top. You have approximately another half inch available because the feet will unscrew at the bottom of each chrome leg to raise the shelf.

Appx 3 7/8" tall with the leveling legs screwed in all the way. The legs cans be extended an additional 1/2" or so.

What's the length of the short back (or front if turned around) side? That is the side with the two 'dog ears' cut out out of the corners.

What is the width dimension between the front 2 legs, and the dimension from the front edge of the glass to the inside of the rear legs? Also what is the maximum height when the legs are adjusted to the highest? I have an amplifier that is 19 inches wide by 8 inches deep and 3.5 inches high. Need to know if it will fit under this stand. Thanks in advance!

What is the max weight capacity? Item description says 80 lbs, manual on this page says 66 lbs, and the instructions that came with it say 22 lbs.

High quality yet practical solution to expand desk space
I ordered two of these tempered glass stands not specifically to raise my computer monitors, but to regain desk space underneath for keyboards, mice, laptops and docking stations. I used them adjacent to one another, not as a corner stand and they are excellent in fit and finish. I actually ordered another after receiving these.

Great monitor stand. Stylish
I originally thought this would be a plain monitor stand. To my surprise, It was made quite sturdy and stylish. I use this to store my keyboard when not in use.
