I set this up with 3 24' monitors and the middle monitor appears to be about 1/2-1inch higher than the two side monitors, even though the vesa brackets are right side up. Is there a fix to this? Has anyone else experienced this?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: My monitors are all mis-matched brands, so I can't be 100% sure, but there are definitely adjustments on the side monitor brackets. Using an allen key you should be able to raise and lower the right and left brackets by up to about 1.5 inches. If they don't go down far enough, try flipping the whole arm assembly over to reverse the direction of the adjustment.

On mine, Each side has a set of screws that you can adjust the vesa mount. The center one is fixed. So if you have the same setup, you need to orient the VESA brackets on each side correctly (up/down instead of left/right), and adjust the screws that move the bracket up and down.

There are adjustment screws on the top which can raise or lower the height of the side displays. They are silver and require an Allen / hex key

There should be two silver bolts on the back side of each side mount that you can use to adjust the height to match the middle.

Can you take the tv bracket off the center pole and mount it to a wall?
John M

BEST ANSWER: the desk mount has at least 3 sets of holes in it for the bottom plate to mount to for the desk screw set. i moved this up to the middle set of holes and actually put screws though the top and bottom mounting hole sets to hold the whole thing to a board mounted the wall (I only mounted the board to wooden wall studs). i would add a picture but.... MonoPricde doesn't do that.

No. The bracket is designed to be mounted to the center pole; the locking ring is integral to the mount. It would have to be extensively modified (metal cutting tools) to become a wall mount.

No not really. The way this is mounted is with interlocking fingers and a bolt. There would really be no way to mount this to a wall.

the back of each monitor mount is custom made for this monitor stand. You are going to have to do that research on your own but I'm looking at mine right now and this is not the product for you. Sorry!

Is it possible to install only one of the side arms?
Chris C

BEST ANSWER: As I recall, it came with both arms attached. You may be able to remove one, or it could just be folded back. If you only installed a monitor on one arm and not the other, it should work okay as long as you mount the whole thing securely to the desk or table.

Likely, though you may experience difficulties down the road as the two arms are meant to counter-balance each other. Using one will put strain on the base mount. If the monitor is small/light then things should work well.

The desk clamp can be set at three different gap settings. While it's designed to open a maximum of 100mm (just under 4"), realistically you're looking at about 90mm (about 3.6") in most applications.

whats the max angle i can get with 3x30 in monitors?
A shopper
on Jan 8, 2017
BEST ANSWER: There are two ways to adjust the angle: The monitors are mounted on pivoting mounts, and the arms that extend outward can pitch. At 30 inches, you're at about the limit of the design's reach. I have a 22" and 2 x 19" monitors, and I could probably get a little more than the 20-ish degrees I have if I played with the setup a bit, but not much more. With 3 x 30", the two outer monitors will still be almost flat before there's overlap. You'll be working almost entirely with the mounting pivots, and they don't turn inward very extensively.

3x30 won't fit. I had 3x27" and unless you have them all flat across they overlap. I am sure 30" won't fit unless you want a flat wall.

Can this be attached to a Varidesk? (You know the stand up desks that sit on top of a normal desk)
New User U
on Jan 26, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Yes it will attach to almost any desk, but it's fairly heavy and may affect the balance of the desk in addition to the ability of the desk's spring or pneumatic extension system to hold in place. Lightweight sit-stand desks and the "temporary" low-cost models made from recycled materials would be particularly affected. Depending on the height of the sit-stand desk, the clamp and bracket that hold the monitor desk platform may prevent full collapse to seated position (the bracket extends about 6 inches below the top of the desk surface). Monoprice offers a couple of standing desk mounts that would probably be more suitable for smaller and lighter sit-stand desks, but they won't be as stable during desk movement.

It's a really heavy mount. I'm not saying it won't work, but it could throw your sit-stand desk off balance. Check the weight rating of your sit-stand desk against the combined weight of this mount and the three monitors you want to use.

BEST ANSWER: You can eliminate the gap, even on smaller monitors, but you'll pay two penalties because of how the arms fold: They will be closer to your face, and they will face inward. The smaller the monitors, the more they will face inward and the closer they will be to you before they touch. I have two outer 19" monitors and a center 22" monitor. If I remove the center monitor, the angle to make them touch at the same distance is about 110 degrees (70 degrees from flat). If I reduce the angle closer to flat, they are about 10-12 inches closer to me. So it will be a trade-off between angle and distance to find something that's comfortable to you.
Standard monitors (not for intense gaming) are getting super cheap, and the USB-VGA/DVI/HDMI adapters are inexpensive (monoprice sells various adapters with different specs and ports). You may as well just get the monitor now.

The arm articulation is flexible enough for it. You should be able to set them at any angle that you want. The mounts on the ends of the arms swivel and rotate if needed.

Depends on the depth of your desk. The size of the monitor might need to be larger if your desk is over 24" deep. It also depends on your eyes and glasses if any. On my 30" deep desk and with my eyes, it would be too far away. Try setting an existing monitor as close to the back edge of your desk as you can to try it out.

BEST ANSWER: As I recall, yes. The silver 'L' bracket has two screws that go into the black back part, which is has female threads. If I understand you correctly, you could leave the silver 'L' bracket off, slide the black mount down, and then connect the silver 'L' with the two screws.
Note, that the tube above, that the swing arms are mounted to, has two clamps that will stick out the back of the post. So if you have limited space at the top also, you might have a size issue.

BEST ANSWER: It really depends on the size of your cable management system. The small, circular holes will be much too small for this. Some of the larger ones, with oval-shaped holes, might work if you removed the edge guard. Thanks, Ryan, for the answer. I don't think I described it right. There's a hole in the top of my desk, near the back, that's intended for keyboard, mouse, monitor cables to pass through and connect to the tower under the desk. I had seen a different one of these online that stated it could be installed in said hole. I have a hutch and back on my desk so there's no place to clamp it to the back edge.
I want to stick with Monoprice is why I was asking.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, yes that setup should work. The distance between the center of the outer VESA mounts to the center of the middle one is around 25" inches, so the monitors should fit. Thanks for checking.

Is this compatible with the other arms like the quad pyramid? For example can I take the single monitor mount from the pyramid and put it on this one (And remove the center on this arm, as I am thinking of mounting the center monitor vertical so I would wanted it mounted at a different height from the other two)? Then interchange the base and clamp style mounts depending on my needs?

The rear lip of my desk (where the clamp needs to attach) is only one inch deep. The product drawings do not give a spec for that C - clamp (it does show how thick the desktop can be) but I need
to know the minimum lip (over hang) so the mount will support the weight of the 3 monitors. My desk is a large sectional and hard to move? Thanks

BEST ANSWER: Hi, unfortunately a 1" lip won't be enough for the clamp to attach securely. You would need at least 3.5" to make this work. You could consider other products that might work better with your desk, like Product 13816 which is a free standing triple monitor mount, or Product 29406 which is a triple gas spring mount that has through-hole mounting hardware (you'd need to drill a couple of 1/4" holes on your desktop though). Hope this helps.

I have one 27" (samsung jg56) montior and 2 tiny old dell monitors (one I think is 19" and the other is 20") wich I am going to upgrade to p2217h's since my Dad might get new monitors and he already has 2 p2217h's. I was wondering if I could side mount the 2 small monitors for OBS and CAD and other things like that? Thanks in advance! (thinking about asking for birthday)

BEST ANSWER: I have this very same item on a 3/8" thick, particle board counter top. I also have one I where I didn't use the clamp, with the bolts running from the underside of the counter, threaded directly into the bottom of the main column. Both setups are holding 27" monitors, and I have no issues with the stand or the thinner countertop supporting the weight and stress. I tried to balance them as best as I could though.

Not able to curve around workspace, needed multiple mounts.
No go on the 30" monitor, let alone the 3x 27" monitors I have. If you only want the monitors to be straight, without a curve around your keyboard workspace, it will work. If you want any sort of curve, the arms are NOT long enough.
Utilizing 2 of these, as they were on sale for black friday, I was able to dismantle, and utilize the poles, as well as only a single arm for 2 monitors, not using the center monitor mount at all. infact, I removed it, as I want a stream line look.
If you want a better cap without a hole, I found on Thingiverse a cap to be 3dprinted. Works well. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4288669/files
Overall, several manufacturers of this same style, with all the parts, pieces interchangeable. Very helpful.
Tried using longer arms, but canabalizing one of them to make a single mount with 3 arms on each side. The metal and plastic components are just not strong enough to hold the weight of a 27" monitor. the fatigue of the metal and plastic just resulted in over an inch of sag of the monitor on the left to the center monitor, even trying to correct with the adjustment screws. It would have been only a matter of time before it would fail.
Inevitably went with using 2 separate mounts to achieve 3x 27" monitors that were curved around my work space.
In the end, very please by doing it this method, as the single mounted monitor overhangs on desk, and allows for it to be swung out towards clients needing to see the screen, and then rotated back to make the triple monitor setup very easily.

Not built for triple 27 inch monitors
Both 27 inch monitors sag about 1.5 inches below the top of the center monitor - both well below the maximum weight at under 12 lbs each. There is hardly any angle in the tilt of the side monitors with all three 27 inch monitors.

I cannot believe what a deal this is
Every triple-monitor mount I've seen is normally well north of $100, but at $45 on sale, this is one of the nicest-quality things I've ever purchased for my computer or desk area.
I've never ordered anything but cables from Monoprice before, and I genuinely cannot believe how well organized and packaged it was. The mount was fairly easy to set up, mostly intuitive to put the monitors on, and an absolute breeze to adjust.

Great, but...
Very sturdy and easy to set up. I would give it five stars but the vertical adjustment of the side supports is not well-designed. The adjusting screws are counterintuitive and very difficult to align properly.

It's affordable and it works.
Not much more to say. Take care when assembling it and keep in mind that the larger the monitor, the less angle you'll get out of the arms.

I like it
So far I like it. Pretty sturdy for it's size. I use 2 29" ultrawides on it. That's all it fits the center mount is mostly covered by them. Wish the center mount was height adjustable for a third smaller screen but the ultrawides should be able to handle the work load.

Great for the price, sturdy for a fixed triple monitor mount.
Once set up holds really nicely. Good for situations where you're going to set up the monitor a certain way and leave it there. I wouldn't use this to constantly move things in a situation where you're always shifting a monitor around.

No good for 27" monitors
I used this with 3 monitors with identical VESA mounts, but due to the sloppiness of the joints the arms sagged past the full height adjustment of the outside mounts. Additionally, the arms are definitely not long enough to comfortably use for 27" monitors, maybe 15 degrees of turn? Hardly ergonomic!

Great Product, Great Price
This works perfectly with my three curved 24-inch monitors. All are perfectly aligned. I believe the reviews posted by those complaining there was an inadequate range of adjustment for the outer panels sagging and being lower than the center panel is due to user error. There is more than an inch of adjustment for the height of the other panels, but the adjustment works in reverse of what one would expect. When I first began fussing with it I was frustrated until I realized I was going in the wrong direction. As soon as I corrected my mistake the problem was solved. There is still more adjustment range than necessary.
The product is made well. It is very sturdy. The only thing I dislike is the clamp mount. I would prefer a heavily weighted base "foot" to allow ease of movement after assembly.. Having it clamped to the desktop is not ideal, but I could not find what I wanted in that design.
You will not find a better triple display stand at this price. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to others.
