Will this work on Monoprice maker select v2?
New User U
on Nov 24, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes I used this on the v2, its a bit bigger than the original ones, so I only fastned one of the screws onto the frame, but it works fine, and if you tighten it, it wont move. Works great!

I also bought it for the v2 and while the original switch is smaller, this one also works. Use one screw hole instead of two, and check it regularly to make sure it isn't loose.

Yes, I installed on my v2.1 when the y axis would not stop. Fixed the issue.

How do I know if my switch is bad?
A shopper
on Sep 30, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
There are two ways to know if your switch is bad:
1. Your current switch will no longer click when you press down on the metal tab that comes out of the switch
1. The axis the switch is controlling will not stop moving when the switch is activated.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
These are made to work with out Maker Select V2 and Plus printers which are probably similar enough to the Wanhao i3 printers to be used properly.

BEST ANSWER: I don't have a mini v2, but this is a fairly standard setup, there may be too much wire though

But the JST connector will be the same and the switch compatible with the mini v2 you think?

Not the correct part. Not correct replacement for Maker Select V2
Title says it all. This may work with a bit of modification, or creative mounting, but it is NOT the right replacement end stop switch. It is bigger than the original and holes will not match up.
Monoprice - I am aware of the return policy and where to email if I desire. What I would like is for you to fix the misleading listing.

Wrong size
While I ended up using as my y stopper and moving the y to my z.
It's not the correct size for the model it says it is.
Originally I wanted to replace my z stopper but couldn't adjust it in anyway to make this one work.

Printer Unclear
I'm sure it works fine, but unfortunately is not the right part for a Maker Select Plus. I assumed, this being the only Y-axis endstop on Monoprice's website, and being titled "Monoprice Maker Select 3D Printer - Endstop Limit Switch," that it would work for the Maker Select Plus. I was incorrect. Three starts because I'm sure it works fine for the correct printer, but the description was not clear, and didn't list the printers for which this part was intended for.
