I ordered this several months ago and found it had about 75% packet loss in my home office upstairs. My old 5 port switch worked fine, but one was unusable with the packet loss. I even tried eliminating all but one device on the switch and results were the same. I requested and received a RMA and finally got around to installing the new switch only to find the same problem. After TWO bad switches I have to wonder if the problem's me, but again - my 5 port switch from another brand works beautifully. Be warned, they may have a bad batch.
The first few pings in my screenshot are with the Monoprice switch. The last two are with my old switch installed. I'm not even going to try for another RMA. This is ridiculous. I'll stick to buying cables from Monoprice and buy my more complicated stuff elsewhere.
I have bough these cheap switches before but must warn you that all connections will be denigrated to the lowest speed device that is connected to them.. For a little more money you would be better advised to buy a rack mounted switch they don't have to be rack mounted) which negotiates the optimal speed for each connection.
