BEST ANSWER: I think you can.. I can check when later when I am at home.. however.. even tough I think it is possible you will run into a center of gravity problem since this configuration will restrict how far you can move the two monitors from the round supporting vertical pole.. See the base is not big enough to shift the center of gravity forward when you need to use them closer to the user. I have run into this problem with the standard configuration.

There's no reason why it would not work, both of the mounts are collar mounts, and should be able to be put on in any order. My main concern would be with having off center weight so far from the bottom. I think it would make it rather tippy. I'd definitely want to put a clamp or two at the bottom.

It can be done. Its just a pole that holds the mounts. BUT the center of gravity would be high and you would want to make sure the whole thing won't tip over.

Is there a manual for this thing? I tried to put it together the best I can, but I've got a bag full of bolts and standoffs, and a bunch of little black plastic pieces left over, and the stand is in perpetual threat of tipping over. That can't be right.

BEST ANSWER: Mine works great and had no extra parts, it had instructions but didn't need them. The plastic bushings need to be installed sounds like. Also if it's tipping it means you are angling the bottom monitors in at the elbows instead of the wrists of the two swing arms. Run the swing arm in a straight line and just use the pivot points at the ends of the swing arms to angle in the bottom monitors. Using the elbow pivots causes too much front weighting.

The plastic pieces snap onto the main shaft of it. It is so it keeps your cords hidden. I had a manual that came with mine, followed it and stuff. I would try looking up an electronic manual for it. Haven't had tipping over issues with mine. very stable.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, these stands are designed to work with VESA mounting standards, which is widely used by many computer monitor and flat screen TV manufacturers. Many brands have the mounting points easily seen on the back, but some brands may hide them behind their supplied stands, while other brands may require a separate part to fit VESA. But there are some screen manufacturers that do not provide a direct way to fit VESA mounting patterns, in which case an adapter kit would be needed.

I've been searching for how to make this work, too, so welcome to the club. Here is where I've found some success:
1) Look up "VESA adaptor + __monitor brand/model" to find appropriate adaptors. Expect to pay $20-$30/adaptor. :\
2) Search "Make a Vesa Mount for a Non-Vesa Mount Monitor" to find ideas how to get around paying another chunk of change to do something the manufacturer should have done in the first place. There are several ideas out there. Using that search query should lead you to at least one YouTube video that shows how to remove the back panel of a monitor to screw your own holes (you might need to look for something specific to your monitors, but the general idea is what you need)... I would suggest adding some sort of reinforcement on the inside of the monitor to strengthen it (and prevent the plastic from the weight of gravity) but I'm not an engineer - I just like my monitors :). Good luck!

BEST ANSWER: I haven't tried it, but I believe it can. There are plastic stoppers that can be adjusted up and down so both the bottom and top monitor attachments could technically go anywhere. I personally wouldn't recommend it, as placing the significant amount of wait at the top would allow the stand to be knocked over much easier.

on Nov 24, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Hi, it should be doable since you'll be using smaller ones for the bottom screens. To be sure, you can measure how high the center of the top vesa mount will be in such a configuration, this mount allows that to be around 28" high measuring from the base. You can get the vertical height of your bottom screen, then add the height until the center of your top screen's vesa mount. If that's less than 28" then it should work. Thanks for checking.

Is it possible to position all 3 monitors to align perfectly, i.e. come together and touch w/o any space in between them, and all be flat. Or, at least for the dual-monitor level? I can imagine it being annoying if there's a gap in between the monitors.

BEST ANSWER: Hi, yes it is possible to adjust the height of the monitor mounts, and you could also slide the mounts on the horizontal bars so you could position the monitors right next to each other with this product.
For lining up 3 monitors right next to each other, Product 13816, 16247, or 29406 would be better solutions.

STURDY stand for 2 or 3 large monitors
Excellent product. Monitors stay in place, even with minor adjustments. Sturdy. Easy install. The main reason for purchasing this stand was to mount TWO -large 27" monitors up high. The additional vertical pole extension that is designed to mount a third monitor up high provided us a different benefit. This higher mount allows us to mount the heavy monitors up higher. This helps to prevent poor posture, and hopefully slow the unfortunate Dowagers hump on the neck. This potential "higher" mounting design needs additional help to be certain that everything won't tip over. I currently have a couple of black c clamps locking it down solid to this moving adjustable standing desk. We never move the location of this stand, so I intend to drill and fasten two - black carriage bolts through the base and desk. I searched for a long time trying to find a sturdy tall monitor. This one works great for us.

No gap between the 2 monitors

Solid stand for small to mid-size monitors
I have 23" and 24" monitors on the bottom and a 22" on top. The stand seems pretty stable overall and has all the adjustability I wanted. Things stay where I want them and there's no wobbling. The parts had no quality issues and assembly was fairly smooth. After assembly I'd recommend finding a helper to get the thing upright and lift it onto your desk.
Even though my bottom monitors are 2 different brands and sizes, I was able to align them vertically using the adjustment screws. Note however that if your monitors have thick bezels, you might have trouble getting all 3 exactly where you want them.
I will say that if I had heavier monitors, or if I were to swivel the bottom arms more towards me, I'd be worried that the whole thing could tip over. For an improvement, I'd suggest adding the option to clamp it to the desk or weigh it down in the back for greater peace of mind.

Measure overall high before you start.
