Does it support 110v and 220v outlets?
Enrique D
on Nov 27, 2016
BEST ANSWER: These devices list input voltage as 100-240 volts and 50/60 Hz but have prongs for a standard USA 120v outlet. You would probably need a converter to use a differ outlet but they should work otherwise. Hope this helps...

As long as you can plug a standard, non-polarized NEMA 1-15P plug in it, it should. The unit itself is rated for 100-240VAC.

what is the input voltage range for this device. Will it work with 220 volts?

BEST ANSWER: According to the label, it can be powered with 100 to 220 Volts, 50 to 60 Hz. In theory, there are many items that bear this type of labeling. We just returned from Europe and rather than take a chance, we brought along an inexpensive power converter with 3 120V outlets and plugged this device into the converter. I like these because they have 2 USB connections.

The unit itself is labeled as 100-240VAC. The plug is a non-polarized NEMA 1-15P type plug for 120VAC, so 220 would need an adapter, I assume.

Why is this charger not UL approved? Will it be approved in the future?
New User U

BEST ANSWER: A fair amount of items on Monoprice are not UL approved. I assume it's because approval would add expense and raise the price. It does seem to have other regulatory approval, but noted I'm thinking of checking my fire insurance to see if they require UL approval if something causes a fire.

Monoprice Select Plus USB Wall Charger - User Comments

Good products, but shipping stinks.
I have no issue with the product, but for the past few purchases, I?ve had difficulty getting it delivered. When I check online, ir shows a reasonable shipping date and the tracking number is assigned, but nothing was actually shipped until about a week later. So if you need reasonable shipping for the product, you might want to look elsewhere. I?ve been a monoprice customer for a long time, so customer loyalty doesn?t seem to be very influential.

Works great, powers two devices at once. It's a little big, but that's to be expected.
