I would like to connect a MacBook Pro with built in HDMI port to an Epson projector using one of these cables. Has anyone had success with a similar set-up?

BEST ANSWER: I can't see why not. The plugs are directional (source vs display). These cables should be capable of carrying 4K@60Hz 330 ft (and does 4K, FHD, 3D, Deep Color, HDMI-CEC, HDCP, HD Audio). If you need to do 4K, check this link: support.apple. COM /en-us/HT206587 You'll have to do some special resolution change to support 4K@60Hz. If you're only doing 1080P, this whole setup is going to be plug and play.

BEST ANSWER: We are using an Imac with thunder port to HDMI into 8 way HDMI Splitter, then the Monoprice 200' Fiber cables to 70" sets. Been working flawlessly for 6 month so far.

I am still in the middle of my installation project so I am not far enough to answer definitively. I know I worked for me HDMI to HDMI.

Anyone have any experience coupling these - such 98' and 65' together using an hdmi coupler? It pass a reliable signal that way?

BEST ANSWER: By themselves this would not work. The cable uses optical fiber with a transmitter/receiver to convert the signal at each end. Power is supplied by either the HDMI source or receiver device. In order to daisy chain these cables together would require some method to provide HDMI power at the coupler.

DOES THIS CABLE 200 FEET WORK WITH A PC TO A MONITOR?
i ASK BECAUSE ONE REVIEWER SAID "CONS: One way nature of cable prohibits EDID hand shaking required for PC screen cloning or display extension. Might work with an EDID spoofing dongle or similar if you have the time/patience."
Will it work pc to monitor or not? The 75ft redmeres do, I use exteneded desktops and clones all good75 feet pc to dell 24" 1980 x 1200.
Thanks for any answers

I wish I would have found this cable first!
I've been searching high and low for a quality active HDMI cable. I remember buying a Redmere cable and being very happy with it. Unfortunately Redmere's don't not offer very long runs.
Someone on our media team went ahead and purchased an HDMI to CAT6 converter box but that was a nightmare. First off it introduced additional point of failures because of additional power adapters, they are not true 'high speed' capable, and they introduce a lot of latency. Advancing PowerPoint slide required pressing the button a little in advance.
Enter the Monoprice SlimRun Optical HDMI cable. It's slim so it's easy to run along moldings on walls (even tuck under carpets!), and easy to handle. The lengths also come very long. The greatest advantage of this cable is the latency. There is virtually none between the source and the display. Gamers and presenters rejoice!
Thank you Monoprice!
PROS: Lightweight, slim and flexible, indistinguishable latency between source and display. I measured 15 ms tops between my laptop's display and a monitor. This value may be lower.
CONS: None I can think of.
