I bought this cable because the factory WD Elements usb cable is too short for my current desk layout. This new cable gave me the extra length I needed to route it inside the desk, which keeps the external hd from taking up space on top. It looks every bit as good as the WD cable. Feels solid too. I don't often need cables, but Monoprice is my go-to company when I do. I haven't had a bad cable or other product from them, ever.
