BEST ANSWER: This 14 AWG 2 conductor wire is fine for in ceiling speakers and in wall speakers. This will work fine with all different impedance speakers. For long runs and short runs. It’s not much more then if you was to buy the 16 gauge wire. You are better off with a little thicker wire. That’s just my opinion.

Too many to count. Very small stands. The black casing that wraps the two together is very stiff and not that fun to work with. I would use the product in a home or commercial building but not in a car. Too stiff.

Is this actual pure copper or is it copper clad aluminum (CCA)? How many strands does the 12ga have per wire?

BEST ANSWER: it is pure copper that is why I buy it from monoprice. not sure about the strand, the cable is very good quality, I have only used monoprice for my speakers, HDMI for TVs.

Is your Nimbus series cabling outter shielding a PVC?or what kind of sheating it is?

BEST ANSWER: It is a PVC type shielding. Very thick and not very bendable. I used it to run a surround sound set up. It worked well but I don’t think I will buy it again.

It is a Flame Retardant PVC. It also has pretty good flex compared to other brands.

Will the Nimbus 12AWG and banana plugs work well to construct a set of cables to connect between an AVR and the wall plate? I'm concerned about flexibility. All my in-wall cable runs are 12AWG.

I'm considering over-engineering my cables by soldering the banana plugs onto the cables. Can anyone recommend a technique video? My plan is to use 12AWG Nimbus cable.

BEST ANSWER: I've done the same thing. Just strip 3/8 in" off each of the copper leads and twist. Put them in the banana clips and tighten. Then solder the tips it will penetrate thru the copper wire if you get it got enough . Then the banana clips will not come loose and the copper won't tarnish

Quality O2 free, no loss speaker wire.
I recommend this product for price and quality and will purchase more if i need it. This O2 free copper wire, more than meets my needs to connect my speakers to my power source, 50 ft away with no loss.

Very stiff install grade speaker wire
The wire is exactly what it?s advertised to be. I had hoped it wasn?t as stiff as it is. A piece of Romex 14/2 is about as flexible and easier to get to lay flat off the roll.
