Great cable. Been upgrading from Cat 3 and 5 to 5e for all my runs. No issues and I like the stiffness as the cable stays in place when I tack or mount cable to walls or supports.

good solid no fuss copper cat5e

I opted for this cat5e product over cat6 as I am retrofitting a home with legacy wiring, and many of the studs and joists I need to run it through have 3/4" diameter holes drilled in them. Cat6 tends to run a bit thicker, so I decided not to risk it.

It turns out that was a good decision, as this is a very hardy product that survived some brutal pulls. It is strong enough to protect the pairs but flexible enough to fit round corners.

The cable is unshielded and I wouldn't trust the insulator with outside applications (without painting it), but for inside it really does the job. On the flip side, the insulator can be stripped off quite easily which makes terminating the cables very quick/easy.

Got 1000mbits at ~60ft and I'm sure it would run for much longer without any issue.

Product was much cheaper than Cat6 wire, yet gave me the same benefits for my home network. The cable was easy to work with, and my wired network is fast and safer from Krack.

The cables splice easily, bend easily, the jacket is the right amount of flexible but also protective, and easily the best deal on the market for Cat 5e.
