Starting failing intermittently after a year or two. Completed dead now after 5 years. You get what you pay for, so just be prepared to buy a new cable every few years.
Works with Dell U2515H and 2012 MacBook Pro Retina 13
After purchasing a Dell U2515H monitor I thought it would work fine with my 2012 MacBook Pro retina at full resolution 2560x1440 at 60HZ but the included mini Display port to Display port cable did not work at all. I decided to try this mini-DP to mini-DP cable and it worked great. Very happy that I can now use my new monitor.
I purchased one of these to connect my 2012 Mac mini to my Dell U3415W at 3440x1440@50Hz (the best available with this combination). I received it on time, and the product packaging is quite adequate. As a monitor cable, it works just fine, passing both video and audio without any apparent issues.
Bought two of these currently for my new BenQ 3201PT 4 K monitor. Runs 4K at 60hz on Win 10 flawlessly. I live in Australia and for the listed price I didn't expect much. Then the cables turned up and I was impressed in the quality. 1/5 the price to what retail charges here. I got recommended to Monoprice and will never buy retail Australian cables again. Shipping was fast, cheap and reliable. Thank-you Monoprice
I haven't tested this on 4K/60, but for a 1080p connection it's been working great. I'm currently using it to connect a 2012 mac mini to an Acer B286HK (the monitor handles 4K, but the mac mini doesn't)
PROS: High quality feel, no need for extra dongles
