Given the very low price of cases for my obsolete phone when I purchased them, I bought 3 different cases, and _this_ is the one that's still on my phone. It provides a full "bumper" around the edge of the phone, but does not in any way interfere with using the phone. As a clear case, you can slip a picture in the back if you like for personalization, or to hide the phone logo (you will have a small Monoprice logo which is not too garish or distracting still printed on the outside of the back.) I would recommend this particular case for the Galaxy S6. It's the one I actually use. The price of all 3 was so low that I got to compare them in person (cheapest shipping was more than the cases cost) but if you want to pick just one, this is it, as far as I'm concerned.
The plastic is well made, like the stuff of a more expensive case. It looks good, it seems to protect well, though I haven't had a chance to really test that out. After a month, my concerns are: 1) the mini-usb port cut-out at the bottom isn't really large enough to accommodate the plug. It kinda works, kinda falls out. I end up having to take off the case to charge it. Which defeats the purpose. 2) Same issue with headphones. Some plugs work, but the more stout plug doesn't quite plug in, and will fall out. Both of these issues are minor, but also essential. The price is great, but please, fix these two issues.
I purchased my cover just over 1 year ago and I love it. First, the price is fantastic.....Second, the cover offers so much protection its unbelievable........Third, it has sustained over 20 drops (including 3 from the top of my stairs) and others onto cement, asphalt and porcelain tile.
The only reason why I am replacing it, is because the case is covered with drops of paint, scratches and looks old. Lol. I removed it from my phone and my phone looks brand new with no chips from dropping it.
The trim is made from rubber, not hard plastic so it has more protection than a plastic cover that will crack if dropped. This I learned from experience.......I drop my phone a lot. I don't like the bulky "otter" look, so this one is perfect. My husband also has he same cover and he is no where close to having it replaced yet. It really is a great product.
I have 2 Samsung Galaxy S6. I bought 1 case several months ago and bought a second one earlier this month. I was concerned that this would be a hard plastic case. This is a softer acrylic which is actually a little flexible. It makes the phone easier to hold the phone itself is prone to slipping, this case gives a lot more grip.
Finally, on a customer service note: I have ordered through Monoprice before and have been pleased to get quality products at good prices. This particular case was shipped through UPS, but final delivery done by USPS. On tracking the product, I noticed that the product had supposedly been delivered more than a week ago it wasn't. I contacted both Monoprice and the local postoffice about the missing package (not too big). Monoprice informed me that they would follow up with the shipper and based on that enquiry will send me a replacement. Today, I got the package without having to contact either Monoprice or the post office. Interestingly, the tracking number was identical to the original shipment.
PROS: The softness/flexibility will provide some cushion against drops. Also, the camera lens used to stick out when the phone is placed on the table. The phone now rests on the case.
Day 1 review: I'm really happy with this case. It adds the same protection without the bulk of the $35 one I bought for my wife at the phone store. It adds a little over 1mm radius around the headphone jack, so it may not fit every headphone plug, but the soft edge material could be cut bigger if someone was inclined to do so. We'll see how it fares over time. So far, I'm very satisfied.
PROS: Adds what I would guess is the mimal amount of bulk possible while still providing some bounce protection. Fits well. Easy to put on. Stays on tightly. Gives the phone extra grip on the sides. Back is a harder substance that should provide some rigidity when dropped on its edges. Front edge is about 1.5mm taller than screen face, so that should provide protection against face drops on flat surfaces.
CONS: The back improves the protection of the camera by making itself flush with the camera lens. Wish there were more colors.
Update: I dropped my s6 off the top of my truck this week - about 7 feet to rough asphalt concrete bridge deck. The case took a few scratches on the front side of two opposite corners, so it must have landed face-down. Not a scratch was found on the phone itself. Good protection.

This case is a great way to protect you Samsung Galaxy S6 while maintaining it's slim profile. It has enough of a lif near the screen to protect it from that accidental face down drop, the buttons work smoothly and are lined up perfectly and since it is clear, you can still admire the great aesthetics of the S6.
