NOT BAD COMFORT. SOUNDS ONLY OK. THE BUILT IN SWITCH HAD SOME KIND OF SHORT/OPEN IN IT, PREVENTING THE HEADPHONES FROM OPERATING RIGHT. I'LL SPEND MORE MONEY NEXT TIME.

They're a bit small, and I have to keep adjusting them because I have big ears and they get uncomfortable. If you have a larger head or bigger ears, I'd steer clear of these. Other than that, sound is good and they seem to be pretty good quality for the price. I was leery, because they were so inexpensive but I'm definitely pleased overall.

These little lightweight over-the-ear headphone produce excellent sound and are very much worth the cost. They do tend to become uncomfortable after an hour or so of wearing them but they do fit snuggly to the ears. Bass is very good while the high's and vocals are slightly cloudy or washed out. Still, for the price they are the perfect "throw-away" or spare set of headphones.

As a longtime audiophile with a preference for value over voodoo (or cash retention over cargo cultism?), I have tried a lot of budget headphones.The 13191s are one of my very sleeper favorite closed-ear beater 'phones, especially at the sale price. They are lightweight, comfortable (though a bit warm on the ears with time , like nearly all headphones in their genre), easy to wear around your neck, flatten down readily for in-bag stowing, and most importantly, they just sound good. They have a relaxed, neutral presentation across the audible spectrum, with enough low end to be plenty satisfactory (though these are def not your phones if you want to be skull-bludgeoned with bass). They work well enough with every genre and every period of recorded history, which is what I insist upon from my daily drivers, and not something you can say of all headphones or IEMs in this price range. Sure, KSC75s will handily best the 13191s sonically, but that's not fair; i can't name even a $200 closed-back phone I like as well as the KSCs. Stock KSC75s also aren't nearly as comfortable as the 13191s, nor are they - as open backs - crankable in your shared office when the urge for death-metal Excel-hacking strikes. Bottom line, the 13191s are NOT sonic magic, but they represent program material honestly and clearly, wear well for longer listening sessions, and therefore represent a class-leading value. I've got a lifetime backup stash of 13191s now. But if Monoprice ever brings a version out with a detachable cable, I might yet end up buying a few more pairs!

Good sounds and long cord but are tight around the ears

I bought these years ago so maybe the newer versions are better - like others say, these are very comfortable and sound terrific, but it didn't take much for the cable to start having issues. Basically, it still works but if I bump the volume control module or even if it sways when walking, it'll pause or skip when I don't want it to. So, unbeatable sound and comfort for the price (and much higher), but maybe not reliable on the go.
