Once the TV is mounted can it slide left or right to be centered?
Johnny W
on Oct 30, 2022
BEST ANSWER: Yes. Clearly there are a number of reasons why you don't want to slide it too far left or right, so pre-measuring and leveling is critical. A few inches either way likely shouldn't be an issue, just so long as you've purchased a mount wider than the distance between the mounting brackets on the back of your TV.

Yes. The two vertical brackets are hooks that hang onto the wall mount. You attach the vertical brackets to your TV, then you - with some help - hang the TV on the mount. You then pull the little cords on the bottom of the vertical brackets to lock it into place. It isn't fancy, but it works great!

How much you can slide side to side may depend on the size of your TV. I was able to slide my 65" TV to the side to properly center the TV on the wall.

BEST ANSWER: This wall mount supports Tv's that have a VESA pattern, the 4 holes on the back of the TV.
If your tv is designed to be mounted on the wall and has these 4 holes then yes, this mount will work.
If your question is about supporting the size and weight then yes this mount will work. Mine is supporting a 70" TV with no problem.
I do have the mount anchored to 2 studs.

The wall alcove for the TV mount is 28” wide. Mounting 85” TV. Can the back plate be cut down?
New User U
on Nov 11, 2020
BEST ANSWER: I have an 86 inch LG TV and did not use the mount I purchased. I ended up using the mount I had for my 55 inch tv. The weight of the 86 inch tv was below the maximum weight limit for the 55 inch mount. The back plate was shorter on the 55 inch mount but the tv screw spacing was not that wide and worked well. The mount metal thickness was the same on both mounts. I didn’t use the larger mount because it was a few inches deeper and pushed the tv out further from the wall.
The width of my wall plate is 30 inches so if you have adequate wall anchoring and a few inches passed the screwed mount are on the tv, then it should be fine.

What is the vertical adjustment? I have a Samsung TV that needs to be centered perfectly vertical. I have to install the mount right below the outlets, so I don't have much room for error.

on Jun 5, 2017
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. The vertical VESA mounting holes would range from 200mm to 800mm (7.87" ~ 31.50"). However, depending on the VESA mounting hole pattern your TV has you may or may not have some room for adjustment on the arm brackets. However, Samsung TV's usually use 400x400 for TV's that are 40" or larger. So you should have options when choose which holes to use on the arm brackets. I hope this helps.
Do not hesitate to reach out to our technical support team via chat, email, or phone should you require additional assistance.

BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question.
It might, to determine compatibility with a TV mount to your TV, please determine the VESA mounting pattern on the back of your TV.
It is the 4 screw hole square formation on the back and it is usually listed on the TV specs or you can find out by measuring it yourself(measured in millimeters).
Our TV mounts range from 50x50mm to 1000x700 and up so please check the TV mount specs for compatibility as well.
I hope this helps, thank you!

BEST ANSWER: Yes it should work just fine. The worst thing that could happen is that the screws that come with the mount may not fit for the bracket that you will screw into the back of the tv. It’s a quick fix. You can find them at Home Depot IF that just so happens to happen.

What is the maximum center on center distance of the last outer holes on the back panel?
A shopper
on Jul 22, 2021
BEST ANSWER: There are some variables to consider depending upon how precise a measurement you want, such as lag/screw diameter that will determine exact on center measurement. The back panel is approx 45" wide. The very outside edge of the last outer hole/slot is approx 5/8" from the edge. Regardless of your lag/screw size, I would say you can safely attach 1" from outside edge side and therefore have approx 43" max center on center distance.

Is the backplate in this one the same physical dimensions (except for the excess width) as the #6662 mount mean for smaller TVS? (I know from reading another comment that the 32.8 is for the ARMS, not the actual packplate measurement. and it's actually 44x8.9 rather than 44x32.8. ...just wasn't sure if the backplate was different in any other way other than width)

Well, it does the job, but it uses a threaded rod to lock in the television to the lower level of the bracket. The threaded rod isn't long enough to access without pulling the television so far out from the wall that the end of the rod is unable to slip in underneath the bracket lip as designed.
I gave up. Since I don't live in an earth quake zone, should work anyways.

WORKED FOR MY SHARP 65" TV WITH SOME MODIFICATIONS
Worked for my older Sharp, however, I had to widen the holes to accept the screws that were needed for the TV. It also would have been nice if there was a horizontal(left/right) tilt adjustment. It is a very sturdy unit.

heavy duty; can fasten into 3 studs (16" OC), or brick
This is the second I have ordered (two different flatscreens), the TV is really secure and the tilt adjustment is terrific. Not a big fan of the articulated kind that you can pull out from the wall or turn left/right, what I do care about is a secure mount and a good tilt. Holds my 75" TV & soundbar (80lbs) without complaint or worry.
