Will this work between a computer and monitor?
A shopper
on May 10, 2023
BEST ANSWER: Yes, Assuming both the computer and monitor have HDMI ports. I use it with a Raspberry Pi singl4e board computer and a standard monitor. (On a Little Raspberry Pi, you might have to go tweak some settings to boost the signal, but when using it on my laptop that has never been required)

What is the gauge of the Cabernet Ultra 30 foot cable? Does this truly have a authentic HDMI2..0 spec?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: Hello Shoppers,
The Luxe and Cabernet Series of active HDMI® Cables use the previous generation of 18Gbps chipsets. They were designed and developed long before the HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 hardware standard was ratified. These cables are built and are fully capable of meeting 18Gbps bandwidth requirements on applications where HDCP 2.2 compliance is not necessary. These chipsets are considered legacy technology which may cause compatibility issues with some newer HDCP 2.2 enabled devices. If you are having issues with HDCP or overall connectivity in your existing system, we recommend our DynamicView series HDMI Cables which have updated and current chipsets that are fully compatible with all current hardware and copy protection standards.

Monoprice 4K High Speed HDMI Cable - 4K@60Hz, 18Gbps, HDR, CL2 In-Wall Rated, Active, 30ft, Black
Monoprice DisplayPort 1.2a to 4K HDMI Active Adapter, White
BEST ANSWER: Thank you for your question. Yes, you would be able to use an active HDMI cable along with the DisplayPort to HDMI adapter. You would just want to be sure to have the source end of the active cable in the HDMI port on the adapter and the TV end of the cable plugged into your display. The active HDMI cable will not work plugged in backwards.

Can this be used with keystone on either end with additional non-active hdmi cables and still get 4k 444?
Dan S
on Jan 5, 2023
BEST ANSWER: As long as they are not too long, and they are cables rated for 4K60HZ 4:4:4. Please note barrels (barrels need to be rated for this also, most are not even close) and other cables shorten the total length that HDMI can Pass. significantly. a 25'er with a 10' cable on either end, is probably not a problem. A 100'er probably not..

I'm planning to use this cable in-wall to connect the wall plate behind my receiver to the wall plate behind my 4k projector. This means I'll need short (3-ft or less) HDMI cables to attach the receiver to its wall plate and the projector to its wall plate. Will those short jumpers need to be "active" HDMI cables as well, or will passive cables work?

Great customer service
I was annoyed at first because I ran one of these wires through my wall and it would just work intermittently. It kept having signal drops and I tried everything, I thought the cable just was poor quality. Even though it has been a couple of months, customer service sent me a new cable without even returning my previous one, so I pulled it through the wall again and this one works perfectly. I think I was too rough with the first cable, I was careful and gentle this time and I have a perfect connection. So if you are pulling this through a wall be careful and don't pull by the connector end.

Solid Signal at 30 feet
The signal looks and sounds great at 30 feet from the source. No amplifier needed.
Gauge of cable is smaller than others at this length making it easier to handle.

It Works
I chose this cable because I move it around to different TVs. So at a length of 30 feet its lighter gauge provides a more flexible and light weight cable to move around or store away. It works as well as the heavier gauge cable it replaced.
