Does this mount rotate for fine level adjustment post installation?
A shopper
on Apr 15, 2019
Most of the time, this unit stays in one position which provides the best viewing angle for my viewing area. However, on Thanksgiving, I swing it out so that my Father-in-law can watch the game should it overlap with dinner. All I have to do is grab the TV and pull in the direction that I want it to go. Wherever I put it is where it stays. When dinner is done, I push it back where I had it. I can adjust it to swing right or left without any tools which is how it is designed. So, I would guess the answer to your question is "Yes". I genuinely like this mount.

Does this mount allow extension straight out from the wall without any up or down movement? Also, it looks like it allows for some variance left to right when placing the TV onto the wall bracket, correct?
A shopper
on Jan 11, 2019
BEST ANSWER: Yes this Brkt allows extension straight out from wall. You can also angle tv rt and lt diagonally while tv is out and you can move the tv rt and lt of center while facing forward and close to the wall.. when fully extended there's plenty of room to access back of tv no up and down movement. However you can angle the tv up or down for best viewing. Note stand is pretty robust.

It can extend directly out, as well as to the left or right. It can also swivel. And you change the angle, but pulling one are further out than the other. You could additionally shift the display over along the bars, though you don’t really want it off balance. But no tilt forward or back.

This may be a stupid question, but I was unsure about the lateral movement of the arms. If I have to mount the wall plate 6-8" to the left of the center of my wall, can I simply move the TV 6-8" to the right, while staying parallel to the wall?

It's a double arm pull out, the six to eight inches is to keep you centered on two studs to the left and right side. most studs separate between 12 and 16 inches.

The answer is YES. The arms will move quit a bit both left and right. Also the TV can also slide both left and right using only the hangers mounted to the TV and the bars they rest on.
Excellent mount. You would pay close to $300 at Best Buy for a mount like this.

The bracket rotates a good amount in both ways. I've never measured the inches it can travel but I think it's more than your mentioned amounts. Very solid bracket all around I'd definitely recommend it. It comes with a cardboard cut out for tracing purposes on the wall so be on the lookout for that in the box

It appears so. Ours is mounted on boards (5/8" or 3/4" thick) on the wall behind the TV to reinforce the mount, rather than just screwing the mounting screws into studs in the wall behind the tv. The boards are long enough to
be screwed into 3 studs. Measuring from the back of the tv back to the wall (not the boards) is just about 21". It may be that the bracket would allow the tv to be pulled out a little more, but I didn't want to force it.

Yes. The mounting plate is a hair under 22 7/8” wide, so you could mount it between two studs, 21” apart, and get an anchor in each corner into a stud. But even if you couldn’t, I have mounted several TV’s of good size into a single stud with two anchors, with two other drywall anchors.

BEST ANSWER: I've got a 60" TV and indeed it appears to be able to hit that 45 degree mark (side to side) you are asking about. I've never pulled it out that far but it does work. With a 100" TV I don't think you could achieve a full 45 degrees as the edge of the TV would bump into the wall. I like this mount because it is STURDY. I should also mention that to get my 60" mounted I had to trim off the 2 metal supports that mount to the TV so they would not extend up beyond the top of the TV . Not a big deal since I had the metal tools to do the job.

You can slide the TV to be off-center on the mount. This would get you a full 45 degrees with a 65. As stated by Preston S, this thing is STURDY. It's like, physically heavy. No issues or concerns holding my 70", 110lb TV with this thing.

It should, you will need to check you VESA Mount specs, but this should work. It's a great setup and easy to install. I was lucky and hit studs. It allows for a few inches of left or right if you are not exactly in center. It's a great mount, if I had to buy another for some reason I would get this mount again. I used this mount to hang my 75" Visio in a corner. I did not want a full 45 deg angle due to the dimensions of our viewing area. It won't go that far out. We pulled it out about 30 deg. and it works great. Just measure it out from the corner. We left about 4 inches if it was flat against the wall. Plus the brackets that mount to the back of the TV will slide left-right on the mount for more adjustment.

I don’t think it would work. I have a 65” tv mounted on a flat wall and it’s not able to be extended enough to form a 45-degree angle with the wall. I suppose you could shift the TV so it’s not hanging evenly on the horizontal mounting bars, but I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing it. That would also require mounting it quite a ways from the corner, all-in-all a bad idea.

You could. Another way we've found is really secure is to mount a piece of painted (same as wall color) 3/4" plywood to the studs (4 anchors) and then secure the bracket to the plywood. You can make the plywood just large enough for the mounting bracket when coordinated with the studs. This permits you a little flexibility in horizontal placement on the wall if stud pattern isn't where you want it.

Throw away any anchors that come from a manufacture. Get some Toggler Snaptoggler BB in their place. The ones I use will hold up to 265 lbs in 1/2 sheet rock. Follow the instructions on the package and you will not have any problem.

We put a wood support bar behind the sheetrock to be safe. I would recommend this even if you have already put the sheetrock up. Easier to patch now than if the tv falls down.

Fully retracted to the wall, it isn’t flush but doesn’t stick out too much; it works well for my room.

Has anyone mounted a 86" LG TV, VESA 600x400, 115 lbs on bricks successfully? I am a novice. Is there any tips on do's and don'ts for a brick fireplace? Do I need special tools? Did this mount work well, in particular supporting the TV weight and arm-strength of mount?

BEST ANSWER: I can answer the strength portion of your question. I have an 86" tv mounted to a regular wall, and even at full extension, the arms have no issue holding the weight. As for mounting it to brick... I'll have to let someone else answer that one.

Does this mount allows up and down movement?

BEST ANSWER: No. You can choose the height when mounting bars on which mounting holes you use, but after it is mounted there is no vertical adjustment. Only tilt, in/out and side to side angle.

It does have some slight range when you attach the mounting brackets to the tv. However once attached, the vertical axis is fixed.

Is this mount pretty flexible in terms of stud placement? There's some concerns the mount won't be centered to the fireplace we're planning on mounting the TV.

You do not need a video for this insulation. You do not even need to open directions. It is all put together, you just have to attach brackets to TV and screw mount to wall.

will this fit the LG OLED65B6P?
A shopper
on Jan 29, 2017
BEST ANSWER: This mount is not a good choice for the LG OLED. The hole spacing assumes that you are mounting to the center of the TV, which on this TV is near the bottom. The bottom 2 inches would need to be cut off. Instead of cutting off the bottom, I chose to drill another hole and discovered that the cross bar covers some of the inputs. Also, be prepared for a bolt to come with stripped threads, as I had to replace one.

It's a minimum VESA of 200x200, and the B6P is 300x200, so I'm about 90% sure that this would fit. With the low profile of the B6P though, I think the brackets that mount to the TV on this may need trimmed by an inch or two so they don't protrude above/below the TV after it's mounted. Won't matter mechanically, but aesthetically it would be unpleasing to me if that were to happen.

Precut cardboard template would be a helpful addition
Very useful monitor/tv mount. It wasn't hard to setup and the cardboard template helped with drilling holes. It would have been better if it the cut outs and holes had already been made in the cardboard template.

Great mount but it is really stiff when trying to adjust it.
This is a great value for a mount of this caliber. My only issue is how stiff the joints are. I have tried to loosen them so that I can pull the TV out further, but I cannot seem to get the leverage to loosen the bolts. So other than being afraid I will damage the TV every time I need to pull it out, this is great. It even came with a few items for cord management and a leveler to help with installation.

Great mount for the price.
Bought this to hang my new 75" Samsung. It is surprisingly heavy. It looks good and has a very high capacity. Amazing bracket for the money. Monoprice had one of their usual discounts on so I paid a very reasonable price for it and that even included free shipping. It will even fit the largest TVs with 600mm vertical spacing.

Nice bracket for the price. However, the hardware kit did not have the proper length bolts for my Samsung TV. Had to cut the bolts. Also, there is no locking mechanism to keep the TV from sliding side to side on the bar. The instruction manual is lacking.

Best Mount with Great Pricing
the most sturdiest tv mount for a 98inch tv that I have came across. Shipping package was damage, however that is no fault of the company. Highly recommended. The prices are just right as well. Best Buy wanted $180 for a mount for the size of tv that I needed, not to mention that that it was not a full motion mount. Will do business again.

Great Product
Took a little bit of time and patience to figure out the best way to do the installation for my particular set-up, but once I determined the process, worked out perfectly. Sturdy and smooth motion for a heavy TV. All the hardware needed for customizing the mounting to the wall. Another example of a great Monoprice product at a price that can't be beat. I could have paid three times plus or more and the product would not be any better.

quality mount, small design flaw
Quality mount, looks clean! Sticks off the wall too far for my personal preference and the mounting bracket for the wall is not wide enough to span 3 studs 16" on center, this limits how you can mount it if a smaller tv needs to be centered on a stud as you can only catch one stud in this situation.
