Does it tilt downwards a few degrees?
A shopper
on Apr 22, 2020
BEST ANSWER: From my experience having mounted my 75", technically no. However, there are dozens of spacers provided that help securely screw the back of the TV to the brackets. Based on what I needed to make the bolts snug, I have a small tilt, no more than 5 degrees, likely less. You could use those if you wanted a small tilt.

No. When you see the word “FIXED” In the title and description, that means, non adjustable (no tilt). I was able to mount my 82” Samsung at a height that didn’t require the tilt function. This mount is designed for people desiring a VERY close to the wall tv. I am extremely happy with this mount and the appearance of the tv. Monoprice is the only place to buy high quality mounts @ great prices❗️

The bracket is fixed and not tilting. But you could add some spacers on the upper mounting holes only if you only wanted a few degrees of tilt.

There are spacers in back that let you choose option A, B, or C, which can get you about a 5° tilt downward.

Would this mount work for a 50" TV?

BEST ANSWER: The wall bracket is 39.7 inches wide. COnsult with your TV's manual to determine if it will too wide. If you do not mind seeing the bracket hanging out of the side then you are good.

I'm not certain and I can't pull mine off of the wall to check, but why wouldn't you just buy the "Monoprice Stable Series Fixed TV Wall Mount Bracket For TVs 32in to 55in, Max Weight 88lbs, VESA Patterns Up to 400x400, Works with Concrete & Brick, UL Certified" and save yourself $20?

What is hanging down from the mounts and are they removed at installation?
A shopper

BEST ANSWER: They are short enough that your screen will probably cover them. they are to unlock the brackets if you ever want to replace or move the TV. they can be tucked away if they are too long for your display.

Those are straps that allow to you release the mounts from the wall bracket (they're spring-loaded). Basically, you pull down on the straps and the bottom hook unlatches, allowing you remove the TV from the wall (should you ever need to change cables, change TVs, etc). I taped them to the back of my TV to get them out of view.

Is there any reason this wouldn't work for a smaller (55") tv?
A shopper
on Jul 9, 2020
BEST ANSWER: If the VESA hole patterns match it should work, HOWEVER, the vertical steel bars that attach to the back of the tv MAY extend below the bottom of a 55” tv! I used this mount for an 82” Samsung. It was PERFECT!! I believe it would be overkill for a 55”. A mount designed for a 55” tv would be a better choice.

At 900 mm VESA this mount will be just over 37” wide and the hangers just over 27” long. That’s pretty wide for a 55” TV. It will extend almost to the edges of a 55” TV. See if Monoprice makes the same mount in a 600 mm VESA. So technically the 900 mm will fit behind a 55” but might not look to good.

Does it slide left and right easily? I would like to be able to unlatch the bottom and slide the tv to the left on occasion when I want it more centered in the room and then back into place.
A shopper
on Nov 23, 2020
BEST ANSWER: Yes! However, the answer to “easily” is based on how strong the installers are! The design of the mount makes it easy. The weight of the tv determines just how easy or difficult sliding the tv will be. In my case, hanging a Samsung 82” made the task fairly difficult.
I installed this mount & TV just before Christmas of last year. I couldn’t be more happy with the mount and the appearance of the TV. I’ve bought other mounts from Monoprice in the past and NEVER been disappointed‼️

I think it will depend upon the weight of your TV. It's not really made for "sliding", no roller bearings, just metal against metal. Perhaps the addition of a strip of teflon tape over the rail would ease the friction. It's a very sturdy and well made mount.

I was using this mount with a Sony 65" TV and recently replaced with a LG OLED65B8PUA. Unfortunately, the vertical mounts extend several inches visibly below the bottom of the screen and it doesn't look like the hole mounts support a different mounting location. Can I replace the vertical brackets but keep the wall mount? Alternatively, is there any solution to continue using the mount without it being visible?

BEST ANSWER: Can only say that this fits snug against the wall, not much room for error once mounted and difficult to attach any cables once mounted. We did add about 1/2" spacers on top to angle our 85" TV a bit and that helped some. Also note that with our Sony TV the lower portion of the brackets and the pull cords are exposed by about 3" after mounting the TV.

The brackets on this mount do not seem to securely lock the TV into place. The instructions imply that the brackets will lock together by simply pressing the bottom of the TV in, but it does not. The TV is just hanging by the hooks, it can still slide back and forth, be tilted and is just generally not very secure on this mount. Am I wrong to assume the brackets should be somehow locking the TV into place? This mount seems to be very highly rated so I can't image the way it hangs on this mount is intended.

Good product better value
It's beautiful when mounted, very close to the wall. Design is similar to other mounts I have used from Sanus. Theirs is a bit more premium and finished. But for what I needed this was a fantastic budget solution. Especially since the TV isn't going to be moved anytime soon. It looks great.
