I have this case on my personal phone (iPhone 6S Plus) and my work phone (iPhone 7), and it is a great, simple case. The bumper is thick enough that when the phone is laying on a flat surface, the faces of the phone do not touch that surface. The materials/design enable the phone to be easily placed in or taken out of a pocket. The bumper also has prevented damage to the phone due to minor drops. The construction seems sturdy enough that the case should hold up for a least a year under normal use conditions.
A couple of minor quibbles: 1. There are buttons built into the bumper for operating the power button and the volume buttons, and these tend to rattle around ever so slightly. 2. The design of the cutout for the toggle for silencing the phone (located above the volume buttons) is such that it is a little challenging to operate the toggle. If you have larger fingers, you might potentially find it difficult to access.
That said, it is overall a fantastic case at a fantastic price, and I sincerely hope that Monoprice continues to manufacture it for future iterations of the iPhone.
Got this case really cheaply so thought I'd give it a try. The loose buttons were weird, but not so problematic for me that I did the "tape trick" like others here. Just be sure that you get the case on correctly as it's easy to reverse the case on accident (after you take it off to fit with a battery for recharging on the go). All was fine for 3 months, but after about 4 months, the case stretched out just a little and the phone got loose in it. It wasn't going to fall off, but still too lose to feel proper.
I like the idea and the concept of a minimalistic piece of protection. The device really met my expectations at first. Unfortunately after only about 3 weeks of gentle use the „button“ that allows the phone‘s power switch to be pushed fell off.
