Can you screw into BOTH sides, fully? Like not just a little bit, but I mean all the way. I've bought THREE other brands which look identical where you can only screw in one side (not the other), and the one side can only go in a couple threads (so not deep enough).

BEST ANSWER: No. Mine is the same way. If you look at the small nuts closely you will see the threads are deeper on one side than the other. This is not a problem for me as the screws are just for keeping the connector straight and not allow it to be pulled apart. I just push it in all the way and it works fine. I don't even use the screws on some of my connections if they are in a permanent position and not in danger of being pulled apart.

If you fully tighten one side the connector keys a bit, once the connector is keyed the other screw will start but not thread all the way because the screw is cross threading.
The best method is to start both sides, then alternate until both sides are tightened. This method is true of all DSUB style connectors
Regards,
K

Yes. I have this adapter between 2 "standard" blue-ended VGA cables. Both cables are screwed in fully to the adapter.

That's funny, I can screw VGA cables to both posts on both sides, and all the way.

It's not a very deep thread. It's designed to sit rather flush with each cable.

Did the trick to convert Extension Cable to make connection ...
I needed to add a KVM between two Altair-Duino Pro computers and this helped finalize the connection.

Perfect, inexpensive solution
Exactly what I needed to better placing my computer AWAY from the monitors (we use them on stage for programming and cuing), and I only had 10? VGA cables. Now I have two less 10?s, but a 20? in their place!

It works
It does what it's supposed to do. Saved me from having to buy a new, longer VGA cable.

Works as Intended
I needed to use this to extend the length of a VGA run I was doing, and it worked as it was supposed to.

Saved me a lot of money!
This little gizmo saved me the expense of buying a 10 feet cable- It allowed me to join two shorter cables to make a long one. It works perfectly!
